Depends on how your other setup is. If you are running a 2560x1600 screen, 570 is probably better, and another 570 down the line. If you are running a 1650x1050 then 2x460. Also, your processor. If you are running a Phenom II x4 and have no plans of upgrading it in the next two years or so, then 460. etc.
buy GTX 570*1,Gigabyte GTX 570 SOC is good choice for overclock and three slient design.

i5 2500k OC to 4.5GHz and 1680x1050,
do you still think i should get the 2 460's?
Im using a p67 motherboard which does not allow you to OC the onboard GPU.
If you have no plans of upgrading your screen before you upgrade your graphics card(s) again, and your PSU can handle it, yes.

and you are acknowledging the fact that i will have to utilize them in x8 mode, correct?
If the price is right I will run them on x1 mode. The performance hit is negligible, taking less than 5% at x8, less than 10 at x4 and less than 20% at x1, based on GTX580 PCIe limitations, and assuming the GTX460 scales similarly (which of course it doesn't GTX460 needs much less bandwidth).

You know, if you are set on nvidia, of course, the 570 is the better card.
But at the same time, you can get an AMD 6950 for about $100 less, and it performs pretty much on par with the 570.
