Hi there.

I'm just going to get to business with this. My computer, which was store bought, keeps giving me the "Display Driver has Stopped responding" message for a while now. By now I have tried everything that is in my ability to do. It also BSOD's after a few crass or sometimes without warning if it has done it once already in the day.

I have un-installed drivers, re-installed drivers, updated drivers, rolled back drivers. I have over-clocked and reset to factory. I have opened up my case to make sure my fan was working. I have adjusted my fans to prevent overheating. I have tried every solution my extensive Google searching has suggested.

I am at this point at my wicks end. It only gives me the error when playing games. Just about any games. The only games I can play without that message coming up are Victoria Empire under the sun and Galactic Civilizations 1. This has lead me to believe it is a 3D settings problem but I am clueless. It's running from a HDMI cable to a HD TV but it also gave me that error when using a VGA cable.

Here are the full stats off the shop's website:

"It is an Advent Centurion CPD 1302 550

my experience of the display driver crashing has only come from overclocking the graphics card and it being unstable, then the display driver shits itself.

i see you overclocked it, does it happen at stock too? if so try underclocking the card quite drastically to see if it keeps happening.

It also happens at stock.

I only overclocked it after the errors kept happening at stock.

Also I don't have much over clocking experience. If you want to know any specifics I'll go into the Engine Control Center and get them for you

Try running a memtest(like memtest86) on your memory(system).

If you are o/cing your system, re-set it to stock clocks.

What brand(model and number)is the PSU you have or what are the specs on the sticker.

Have you tried totally cleaning out the driver(How To: Reinstall Video Drivers (Quick Guide)) and re-installing( I don't mean un-install and re-install )...

Just some ideas.
:)

Edit: what temps are you hitting at max?
Some programs to give you an idea:Realtemp, GPUz, and HWinfo32

I have already reset the clocks and I can't do the rest till tomorrow.

However highest temp i am hitting is 42 degrees Celsius.
