Verbatim has taken their affordable Store'n'Go hard drive line-up and now offers it with the newest USB 3.0 interface. Even so the drive still aims to be affordable while offering the level of performance one would expect from the new connection method.

Isn't 2 years warranty a industry standard for such USB drives?

It is cheaper than the hard drive by itself and the hard drive model itself does not offer any warranty. :)

Interesting, got different info from somewhere else about the warranty - fixed.

EDITED: Checked with my sources. Only the US sold drives offer a warranty, the ones in the EU only offer one if bought in combination with a system or external enclosure like this one. If the drive is bought seperately, only the legal minimum warranty can be applied - and in Germany there is no legal groundworks for a reseller to have to offer any kind of warranty for example.
