Reading the posts in the link you gave, the computer running the tests has a custom BIOS to add basic support to the processor. I think the ES chip can do better if there is more HW/SW support. Although it is also said, there, that this chip is supposed to be an entry-level chip.
I'm still thinking that it's too early.

I'm still thinking that it's too early.

Even considering all these things, those numbers really aren't bad for a lowly dual-core clocked at ~2/3 what it should be.

BTW, the guy in the link says he's running that chip on a P67 board, but doesn't mention which board or manufacturer.
