If you want a very versatile motherboard this seems like a hell of a deal. Its $32.99 shipped free. The layout is great, too. I don't need it but if I did I would have already ordered it.

Edit: Sold already. Damn Newegg still had it listed but just changed it.

Startup cost more with Sandybridge

Trying to help support those with pauper pockets or just want to build a dirt cheap gaming/multimedia PC. A quad core from AMD can be had for around $100 and a 6 core around $160. For example a 1055T from AMD.

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 ...

or a Phenom II 965 can be had for $120 after a promo code.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 ...

Still a sandy and from what ive seen it spanks most AMD dual core and comes close to AMD quads (smaller ones)

I guess it depends on the app

I just think with virus protection and yadda yadda it would be wiser to have more cores available for games and apps that see and use 3,4, or more cores.
