Yes you can use that board with the case. That said though, the case you chose is really restrictive, it doesn't allow any double slot graphics card (every decent graphics card is double slot nowadays), and it only support half height expansion size, which limits your choices severely. I would consider getting a mATX case with a mATX board instead, price should be more or less the same and it offers a great deal more flexibility unless space is a real premium, in which case a laptop might be more sensible.

I play Starcraft 2 afew hours a day on my laptop and its still alive after 1.5 years, and quite a few of my friend does the same. So far, not many broken laptops other than 2 which is directly attributable to Nvidia's QC fail. You really want the option to get a more powerful graphics card though, maybe 6 months later he comes home and say "I want to play Battlefield 3 but this rig is useless!" and you know that you are in deep trouble.

No, its not always better to buy a laptop. In fact, its almost always better to buy a desktop, but with the case you are building the rig around, its better to get a laptop. Without knowing the full budget, the purpose of the rig (other than playing), and how long the rig needs to last, its really hard to recommend anything other than options which you might want to consider.

oh well,i got 350$ to spend lollolol:laugh: atleast 2-3yrs till he realize battlefield and
CoD is better than counterstrike.. what comes to my mind is that if he plays on loptop he
might keep the charger on it so he can play non stop.. and that will kill the battery.
so desktop is a better way i can think of.
