Huh?

Game runs smooth as silk, so did 11.. like I said.. the graphics look smudgey not laggy

Well what can I say except for me, with the RadeonPro tweaks, the game looks stunning! Crisp, sharp, and runs smooth as silk (with 8*FSAA).

So assuming that EA haven't shown preferential treatment for those with ATI cards over those with Nvidia, the problem lies with your setup.

FIFA 11 used the FIFA 10 engine on the PC version and FIFA 10, 9 and 8 used the PS2 games engine, might have used the PS2 engine before that too on pc.
Still i lol'd hard at the video Erocker posted.

EDIT: I dont have a controller to test this with as all my 360 pads are wireless but if its the same as the FIFA demo on 360 i probably wont like it. I dont like the way players move, pass or cross and you know what i could probably get used to it but i shouldnt need too it should feel natural from the go. You lot have played previous FIFA games and got used to the movement i would be moving completely from PES and i cant get used to it easily. Havnt liked the movement in FIFA in a long time.

Games better than FIFA 11 but still feels like the same game, i dont know if that makes any sense sort of incremental if you like. They dont do anything to bring in new fans just keep the same old ones happy.

I have pes 2011 and realy do like it but for the first time in years i can honestly say this new fifa is good on the pc, i personly think the animations of the players is great, They move realy nice and smooth and i found the passing crossing and shooting to be realy good. Its been such a long time since i enjoyed a football game. pes 11 is anoying when trying to pass tho there seems to always be a delay, With this new fifa 12 when i pass it passes and goes where i want it to and i can judge the power a lot peter to.

One thing I always liked with FIFA is their commentary team. Even though I like PES, they have a good deal to catch up commentary-wise. Its just plain awful. "oooooooh its a red card" hasn't changed for 3 years? WTF?

Definitely and this year, at least on the UK version, you can choose from two commentary teams Martin Tyler & Alan Smith or Clive Tyldesley & Andy Townsend.

However, I thought I would try the Clive & Andy commentary and they started talking about World cup 2010 and how I was progressing in the tournament??? Quite strange when I was actually playing an exhibition match with Chelsea against the gooners

Bwahaha, nothing's perfect eh?

I do hope in the final version the transfers are up to date. I know I'm playing the demo, but seeing Fabregas and Nasri still at the Arse made me sick! Last year FIFA was pretty much up to date at launch, I couldn't say so for PES though (I learned it the hard way editing the damn teams up to date)

Anyways, I like both games, everyone of them has something special. But if they want to continue plundering us every year, they gotta get some things sorted out. I'm looking at you mainly PES.

I can confirm that the majority of transfers have been done in Fifa at least. Regarding PES, see my earlier comment. The goals I scored in that game were immense.....a true classic of it's time, I'm still yet to see a modern PES that has dragged me in that much.

I know seabass will nail it eventually. Until that time it's FIFA for me I'm afraid.

^^^ That! PES5 was da bomb! I loved that game, crisp and simple play. Every game on NG consoles damaged PES for me. I nearly puke when I think about the disaster that was PES 2009. God that was bad, even by PES 2008's standards. And I bought them since on pc, FIFA was a ps2 version anyways.

The problem is, I'm like you, I am always in the hope that Seabass will nail it. But will they? Its been a couple of years that they promise us that and still nothing.

Yep I hear ya bud, so simple to play but was as complex as your football brain allowed. Free flowing and very emotive, if only they had just retained what was so great "THE GAMEPLAY!!", updated the graphics and added better collision physics (Remember replaying goals and the boot never even hit the ball :) ) PES would still be the king in my book.

I think they will get there eventually but thank god for demos huh.

Where are you from assaulter? I'm thinking of getting a TPU team up and running for FIFA 12 so just let me know if you are up for it matey.

Interesting idea, I've never played footie online, mostly play offline (career/master league) but if its fun, who knows? I'll PM you when I get the game if its ok with you m8. But now I'm torn between FIFA and BF3 lol. Gotta make a decision (it will mostly depend on the beta) :toast:

The best thing about FIFA is creating a virual pro of yourself and improving them with goals scored, skills used etc. You can model them into the player you would want to be or play as (You can even import your own face ) and then play as part of a team.

For me, FIFA gets dull very quick in single player as the AI just ends up repeating the same attacks. Online is alot more creative and open like the real game. (Another reason why I loved PES 5, it was so random even in single player)

Just let me know bud, I'll be creating an official FIFA 12 clubhouse on TPU so just drop in there from time to time :toast:

The gameplay in PES 2012 is utterly sublime and a class apart from any Pro Evo game that has went before it. "It is a move towards acrade football!", they all complain. "Fucking brilliant!" I reply. Give me frantic end to end Pro Evo football with screaming volleys and sizzling 35 yard top corner strikes over turgid old midfield heavy labour FIFA any day of the week.

If you are a Pro Evo man at heart then you should definitely give this years edition a try.

Although I am playing the full version, I am still waiting on my 'official' legit copy of the game to arrive and therefore dont know how the online game is.......if it is anything as atrocious as it has been in recent years, then that would provide the only viable argument to get FIFA instead.

I've got it mate and so far it's awesome. Loads of people complaining about installing issues on Origin.....I never had one and game is smooth as silk.

Played a few online matches and lag seems fine, I've won 7 and lost 3 so far.

Gonna start a Fifa 12 Clubhouse and try to get a team together.
