I have a Gigabyte 870 AM3 Board but i see some other brands label these as AM3+.
Anyone know if i can slap a BD in here?

What is the name of the board?

Bulldozer is AM3+ only but some AM3 motherboards are compatible with BD with a BIOS update.

I'm not sure if there is a BIOS for your board that will support BD. I looked on the BIOS download section for your board and couldn't find anything.

Other companies are just announcing BD support on their older chipsets through a BIOS update, so in due time Gigabyte might do the same.

There is actually 3.1 revision of that board that has an AM3+ socket.

I have bought recently 870A-USB3L AM3+ board. Are there any differences in performance or features of BD between 8xx chipset that has AM3+ support and 9xx boards?

They're based on the same design so there isn't a whole of of differences but some of them are:

900 series based boards support both SLI and CrossfireX as opposed to the 800 series boards only supporting crossfire.

900 series boards use Hypertransport 3.1.

The main selling point for the 900 series chipsets is that they support Bulldozer out of the box with their AM3+ socket, while only select motherboards with 800 series chipsets will have the option to go BD with a BIOS update.
