Hello everyone!
I used to have a Radeon 4870 before upgrading to a Gigabyte 560 OC and I didn't have these issues so I believe it's the drivers' fault most likely(?).
1) My monitor is an old Asus PG191 (19", 2ms, 1280x1024) and it supports 75Hz refresh rate at it's recommended resolution 1280x1024 (that's what I use). I tried many WHQL and beta versions of last 5+ drivers including the latest beta 285.79 and when I go set the resolution it doesn't let me pick 75Hz (only 60) not in display properties or NVIDIA CP. I remedied that by creating a custom resolution in NVIDIA CP but I don't understand why it doesn't let me select it from the menu when I know it should. It may be totally not the driver's fault but I still would like to fix this.
2) Before I start, my Power Management in NVIDIA CP is set to Adaptive. Well just after a reboot my GPU and VRAM both work something below 50MHz to conserve energy because no 3D applications are running, but as soon as I start for eg. a game, it sticks to 405/162 or 830/1002(the factory clocks) and doesn't go down after the 3D application is off. I need to reboot my PC to let my card relax again. Any ideas on why that might be happening?
Win7 64bit
Thank you advance.
