Blah blah, eac hgame is different, and has differnt paly styles. Personally, I like both, becuase they are different form each other, even if only sometimes in subtle ways.

DannibusX, you brought up an important note. Frankly, I spend more time lately playing indie games than anything else, so really, sales figures mean little to me other than to say that marketing was effective. Let's see how things do after 2 years, and which title continues to sell, and then we can declare a winner in retail. I am interested in product longevity, not sales in the first couple of weeks.

Yeah. Buggy, indoors run and shoot with kids. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd play some F2P than to play COD. Seriously. Did I like posting this? Yes, I did...

OMG, I remember going to Woolworth's as a kid in 1980 and buying it. I loved that song.

Lol Woolies.

Lol, kid in 1980. (I was 6!) All i got from Woolies was sweets from the wee sweetie mixture bit. You'd always cram as much crap into the wee bag and walk up to pay and it was like 4 quids worth of sugary bliss.

But yeah, tbh, that vid surprised me, I thought MW3 would have won. But I play BF3 so no comment ;)

Interesting to see that MW3 is not even being played in Asia yet. On the "heat map" when you begin the game, Asia is still dark. Wonder when it releases there.

So BF3 is good too?

I think both games are excellent, but BF3 seems to have MW3 beat when it comes to technical excellence in video quality and other aspects. BF3 has had a major update now, too.

Welcome to TPU. :toast:

Impressive, didn't expect the votes to result in such a large difference. Go BF3!

I think what happened here was B3 players are more worried about their game being considered better so they made sure they voted while MW3 players were to busy PLAYING to give a shit.

Oh BF3 players are still enjoying the game, here and there is a small issue. But nothing that isn't new to a game release.

As for the COD4: Map Pack 3 players, they aren't smart enough half the time to figure out how to vote. ;)

That's not too bad a score for a COD4 map-pack.

Honestly if you had done a vote with COD4 against something else of its time it would have scored better.

MW3 is a joke, I've played thru the campaign and it took me no time to get thru compared to BF3s campaign even. Which is just lame. MW3 is supposed to be a "wrap up" of sorts. Yet all the do is kept making you take care of an injured Soap. : /

BF3's campaign hands down was better than MW3s. (In my book at least.)

I play both games, and I enjoy both games. Aside from being first person shooters that are in a modern setting they are completely different games.

BF3 is simply an awesome game, and it didn't fail at the box office. It had really strong sales, but they are trying to compete directly with CoD. CoD is a very strong title with tons of brand recognition. I think a majority of the players (no one here at TPU, only what I observe from my friends) are satisfied with what Activision brings to the table, with no real advance in gameplay, graphics or engine. CoD is familiar and fun, but it costs a lot to keep playing year after year.

Another misconception of BF3, again from talking to my friends was that they thought that the BF3 beta for the Xbox was a demo. I tried to tell them, but they are non-believers. I installed the beta on my Xbox and what did I see? "Play Battlefield 3 Beta (Game Demo)"

All in all, to each his own. Gameplay is completely different between both titles. It's just another nVidia v. ATI or Intel v. AMD argument now.

Funny how BF3 has to crash 1-5 times before it actually launches, and not just for me.
Funny how BF3 has no idea that people playing in a party want to be on the same team.
Funny how BF3 has no killcam so you cannot learn from your mistakes.
Funny how BF3 does not care that you can use Night Vision Sight (IRNV) during the day.
The game is so god damn hilarious.

I cannot speak for how funny MW3 is because I don't own it and I don't intend to get it either.

OK, let me.

Funny, how people pay $60 for a map-pack.
Funny, how the map-pack goes on sell as good as it did

Mankind is so god damn hilarious.

is this guy for real or just a bad troll? Don't play on a premade dells and your game might work for you.

If i did not care about playing a quality game i might try cod 4.4 but yet again cod 4.5 is just around the corner.
