Tanks for the answers ..
Far i read till know ..is the same ...funcking problem .. ?
Globalization ...
I think is stupid to build a motherboard with .. more the 4 pci express ..and the only option to use at full is tu buy top cards from Ati or nvdia ..
in the past i pay as 400 usd for one vga card ..and they glory .. fall ... to early .. i think
so I WILL NEVER BUY A VGA CARD ...that cost more that 200 usd ..
is roman had a pc ...and try to understend that industry ..i think ...that he will say
Sic transit gloria munidi .. that is for VGA high end
Would you rather have those 4 PCIe slots be standard, sluggish PCI slots or no slots at all? My main computer has 3 full size slots and 2 x1 slots, and I use 4 of the 5 slots.
Here's my current slot usage (in order from top to bottom):
PCIe x1: PCIe to IDE adapter
PCIe x16 (@ x8): AMD HD 6950 unlocked (for gaming
PCIe x1: unoccupied (blocked by 6950)
PCI: PCI Firewire controller
PCIe x16 (@ x8): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Distributed computing processor)
PCI: Unoccupied (blocked by GTX 550)
PCIe x16 (@ x4): USB 3.0 controller @ x1
Not everyone needs the slots, but I do in my case for what I do. Just because your board has 4 PCIe slots doesn't mean you should SLi 4 GTX 550 Ti cards (if it were even possible). At least they are there, so they are there to use or not.
The reason why low end cards do not support SLi/Crossfire or only with 1 other card is because IT'S INEFFICIENT. You can't SLi 4 GeForce GT440 cards and get a GTX 560 Ti, in fact, it would actually COST MORE to buy a bunch of little cards to mimic the performance of one big card!
