Looking to buy two HDD's

My laptop currently has two hard drives, a 7200 rpm 500 GB drive, and a 320 GB 5400 rpm drive.

I've been debating purchasing the two drives below to replace them:

Seagate Momentus XT STAN500100 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB...

OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE120G 2.5" 120GB SATA II ...

The latter (Vertex 2) would host the OS, and any games which frequently access the hard drive, while I'd use the hybrid drive for general storage and whatever games don't fit on the SSD.

Anyone have any experience with either of these two drives, or have any drives they'd recommend over these two (preferably in a similar price range, or cheaper of course)?

I have had the Vertex 2 - fine drive but would recommend the Vertex 3 tho....

The Momentus drives are amazing for the price...I use them i for games and apps and the Vertex 3 for OS......

My laptop only has SATA II, so figured it probably wasn't worth the price difference between the Vertex 2 and 3, though I had been debating going for the Vertex 3 just to future proof the purchase (ie, put it in whatever my next laptop is which should have SATA III rather than only SATA II).

Ohh....then go for the Vertex 2...by the time you got to get a new laptop there will probably
be a Vertex 4 / SATA IV or something faster.....

I dont know the price diff. between Vertex 2 and 3 ..... I would imagine that the Vertex 3 would be faster then the 2 even when running SATA II due to the Sandforce 2281 controller.....

Looks like the Vertex 2 is actually faster on SATA II boards than the Vertex 3 is, 285 MB/s read, 275 MB/s write for Vertex 2, 550/500 on Vertex 3, but only 280/260 for the Vertex 3 when used on SATA II boards.

EDIT: Seeing a lot of reviews stating the Vertex 2's die incredibly quickly, worth paying $169.99 for a Intel 320 SSD instead? They're slower, but if the Vertex 2's die as quickly as people are claiming they do perhaps the speed is worth giving up. 270 MB/s read instead of 285 MB/s means next to nothing to me, but 130 MB/s write as opposed to 275 MB/s write seems a much larger annoyance.
