Suggestions on Liquid Cooled Case

Hello all. My i7 runs a tad to hot with the cooler I have atm (OCD to 4.6), costed me around 80$ on newegg two years ago. I need to go to liquid cooling. I was looking at cooling setups, cases, etc. Very unclear and uncertain on what would be the best bang for my buck. I was always told to get the Koolance exsos 2 series and get the new waterblock for LGA 1155/1156 and find a case that can fit the external unit on?

This is my dream case:
Thermaltake Level 10 GT LCS (VN10031W2N) Black Ste...

I can buy it, just kind of looks like a BIGWATER rip off (Use to have one in 2007).

A friend of mine built an i7 SB rig on that same case and he is pretty happy with it. That said I am currently running my SB Rig on an old TT Kandalf L.C.S. case and it is still doing the job quite well(Tho I did replace the CPU block with something more "modern")

In terms of cases... I think the best bang for buck is HAF932 now.
It's "old", but who cares. It's so much cheaper than comparable "newer" cases.

One strong advantage of HAF932 is that you can easily mount a "thick" type 360 rad on top.

Personally, and if you're willing, why not get a slightly cheaper case:

And then get all the watercooling parts yourself from a site like frozencpu.com?

Honestly, that case doesn't look that fantastic for water cooling. Looks like there is only room up top for a dual rad, and no other locations without some modding. The handle would rule out the Koolance package, which is actually a good thing. There are much better options, now, such as the new offerings from Swiftech, which has one of the best pumps made attached. XSPC also has a very affordable kit that many swear by.

Ok case is selected now NZXT Switch 810 - CA-SW810-B1 Black Steel / Plasti...

I love NXZT products. That is just a beautiful case IMO. Very good support for liquid cooling. Now for my last question:

Thermaltake CLW0211 Bigwater 760 Plus Dual Bay Dri... VS. That swiftech dual rad w/ cpu and block?

I noticed it does support Motherboard back-plates for socket 775, 1155, 1156 and 1366. Thats great. In reality, My system runs almost 24/7 with an oc and crossfire, and just runs hot. Any suggestions ladies and gents on these coolers?

No question, the Swiftech. Not even close. Actually, look up the H20-220 Edge HD kit from Swiftech. Perfect solution. I'm running one in my bench rig right now.

Thank you. It has been a long time since I have liquid cooled. I am just not up to date with these kinds of products like you enthusiasts. Thanks! My problem is now solved, I will post my rig in case gallery once Items ship from newegg.

Seems newegg doesn't carry this setup. Any suggestions on another computer website to purchase from? Swiftech H20-220 Edge HD

Thank you! I noticed there must be two editions of this cooler. Tigerdirect has the same one, but tubing and cpu block look different. Or are they the same cooler? There is a 100$ price difference.

Post the link for the one at TD. It's probably the old version instead of the new HD block.

Update: So I got the swiftech kit shipped, itll be here within a few days. Pic of it (actually got it off ebay for 100$ cheaper, NIB!!)

How tight of a fit would that radiator be in a HAF 912. Also, can this mount outside of it? Is that "safe". Like mounting it on the top, or having 4 long screws hold the rad up vertically in the back? Or is it just to tight to fit inside, where I would to put it. I have the opportunity to buy the HAF 912 for 30$ on craigslist.. cant go wrong with that!

That's not the new HD kit, but still a great kit none the less. The difference between that and the one for $100 more is like 2-3 degrees with just a CPU. Great buy for the price!

That big plastic square box is a rad box, if you open the CD, it will show all the ways that system can be mounted, including externally with that radbox holding it in place
