CAFA50 vs hyper 212 evo

I have the choice between an CAFA50, or a hyper 212 evo. I can get them both for close to the same price, so it's just down to what one is better. I was thinking the 212 would be better, because of the 4 heatpipes... What do you guys think?

Ive heard good things about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. I think it is slightly better than the Corsair, anyone feel free to inform me if im wrong.

212 evo:

There's no gaps between the heatpipes on the bottom
It's fan is a 4-pin
It comes with an extra set of fan clips so you can put a second fan on
It can be installed both vertically and horizontally on both intel and amd setups (the CAFA50 can't be installed vertically on AMD setups)

Here's my $0.02

- 3x8mm heatpipes is better than 4x6mm pipes (more area on the pipes) .... +1 Corsair
- Fan is better/quieter on the CM.... +1 CM
- Mounting hardware for 2nd fan the CM... +1 CM
- Simple mounting for AMD on the Corsair... +1 Corsair
- reviews favor CM cooler... +1 CM

I would go for the Coolermaster for the quieter operation and 2nd fan option or Corsair for the easy AMD mount.

Cooling performance is similar.

Have you tried looking at the Corsair A70? If you shop around you can get it at the same price as the 212 and it has 4x8mm heatpipes. You still have the issue with only one mounting orientation with AMD setups but just a thought. Also, it comes with two fans out of the box. I'm using one on my 2500k (4.5 @ 1.28V and with IBT it gets to around 66C - 68C on the hottest core in a decently warm room).

Edit: Well, it looks like it's gone up slightly from when I bought it for around $27. Still can find it for $32 in the states, and two fans...

meh, just a cleaner looking install. It wont offer anything better than the coolers you are looking at.

I would have saved money and went with the 212 as its ample enough for the job but thats me.

I am not keen at all on those AIO water cooling solutions, you still need good fans to get the most from them and there is not really a heat or acoustics advantage over a very good air cooler. I personally went with the Phanteks cooler in my specs recently, instead of a H60 i saw second hand for cheap.

The Hyper 212 Evo is really cheap over here its good for the money.

I may have done something stupid, but I've wanted watercooling, even prebuilt for the longest time. I splurged and bought my self the coolit eco. I'll call it a gift to me for doing good on exams
