Not really. I never used ingame FSAA settings. I always set it through drivers and there you can pick whatever setting you want.

Yes, but if it's forced in driver control panels, the chance is greater that it's using the fancy new AA method might be part of the reason for the high scores. I'm sure I mentioned this before...
Well, why wouldn't you want to benefit and use the new algorithm instead of crappy one bundled with the game?

No. But it may provide unlimited anti-aliasing if the conditions are right (contrast difference). At least with MLAA you could sometimes (very often actually) so smooth edges you could easily compare it with 64x FSAA or even more.

You are right, those extra few FPS above what you monitor can draw make a real difference.

Pushing a few extra pixels, and the china site doesn't offer any other specs but has a similar increase in the the 580 scores.
I am led to believe the margin of difference in 5-7% depending on application at the best, but we have yet to see actual overclocking numbers for final enthusiast numbers.
