Bizarre question about an old Geforce

Ok so I have a Geforce 7900 GS that has EVGA markings and other EVGA things, such as manuel. However when i start the machine the card says PNY :wtf:

. Any ideas as to what happened. I am the second owner of the card though, though the previous owner i doubt change the BIOS chip from EVGA to PNY....

The previous owner probably flashed a PNY BIOS to the card for whatever reason.

some bios have higher clock speeds, and some just work better than others.

Bios has been flashed with a pny bios. It's really not that uncommon.
