Hi all,

Prices for the GTX680 in Australia are about $150-200 more compared to American prices which is absolutely absurd due to the AUD parity with the USD at the moment.

So here's the thing, most US companies such as Amazon, EVGA themselves, and most other stores that are selling the GTX680 for about $510 but do not ship outside of America.

Hence I'm wondering if anyone knows of any legitimate and reliable companies that will use a American address to accept the parcel and then forward it onto a address of your choice, for example my home address in Australia

I was also wondering if anyone has used a TPU/forum member that happens to live in America, to then send a parcel to your address outside America, and of course I would pay for the shipping and a little extra of course ;)

Most companies I have looked into myself, I cant tell if they are legitimate or just scams. So any input on this matter is helpful! :)

Thanks!

Yeah, that's the sort of thing I'm after. Even expensive shipping is still way cheaper than anything bought from a Australian store.

would 580$ in Aus be a better bargain than shipping from USA(besides warranty hassles) ?

Where in Australia did you find a GTX680 for $580? because that's a worthy price compared to shipping from the USA.

If u dont mind the brand, there s Leadtek & Inno3D

i found them here

found another listing here

Hmm, I'd definitely prefer EVGA. There warranty and RMA service just outshines both of those brands in my opinion, but thanks for the find! :)

Unless a store in AUS stocks it expect 2-3 week wait times on any RMA process :( Was hoping more Aussie stores would stock EVGA, love the look of their dual fan 680 design.

Yeah that wouldn't worry me, I have backup video cards and I would not expect a EVGA card to break anyway. So time doesn't bother me so much :)

Hello,

I've shipped from the US to Europe before (Hamburg Germany). If you're absolutely determined to ship one from the US I can help facilitate.

What I've run into is the following, which may discourage you:
1) Customs is a pain. 7-10 day shipping could be doubled by an extended stay in customs.
2) Shipping costs are a pain. My German friend had to pay about $120 for shipping (though they had a 10 kilo box, so take that with a grain of salt).
3) Warranty service is a pain. Cards bought outside of the country are harder to get warranty service on, so whoever you buy from needs to provide all the paperwork. It's not too difficult, but you'll need someone competent so you never have issues.

If the above issues don't hamper you, shoot me a PM. If you want to get an idea of how much shipping will be, check out http://www.shipnex.com/. They've offered me excellent service in the past. You've also got UPS or USPS given the size of the package. A little shopping around definitely saves some serious money.

In case you are not aware, EVGA will be launching a new 'global' warranty policy in April(2nd) and will set new terms... for some basic info check evga site..

thanks to lilhasselhoffer, Shipnex fares from US to Australia seem nice value at around 80$, if I have checked it right, for a package of 5 lbs.. typical for graphic card packages

do take ur decision at your convenience..

else, keep an eye on this

The cheapest one from Taiwan would be;

17,000.00 TWD = 557.342 AUD
