This is one of those benchmarks that NVIDIA is weak at. Besides the benchmark does this benchmark carry over to performance of any games? What applications would benefit from this type of performance?

I have noticed that this benchmark is more ATI/AMD oriented.

It's a synthetic benchmark. It is what it is. It uses five different DX11 subsets for the benchmark. It doesn't really relate to anything else, though obviously some games use DX11.

Seems decent compared to HD7870. That is about as fast as I can get my gpu to go on water.

Woah...how did you get your 560ti 448 to 1100 core? Thats a freaking 68% Overclock.

This makes me want to see how far I can push the Core on my 7870...Can you post a 3DMark 11 bench with that for me? I want to see how much money I threw away xD

The 448 cores are really 570's in disguise. They clock like monsters but really he should have made more points than that. I still think this is more AMD sided. Even a 580 score alittle over 4000

The HD7870 is within ~5% of the GTX580 @ Stock.

That 560ti 448 has an overclock that would put it past a GTX580, but the 7870 is Overclocked too. The gains from OCing a 7870 are higher than that of any of the Fermi Cards when taking % for performance into account.

These scores make perfect sense to me.

I looked up GTX580 scores and most of them are lower than my 448. I found a few just a little higher. My scores seems fine for the speed I am running it at.

The GTX560ti448 is the sweet spot of the GTX5XX series IMO.

Well I bought my MSI TF3 PE/OC GTX560ti448 for around $230 when it was on sale at Amazon. (US Dollars)

Not sure how much you paid for your HD7870 but the perfomance seems close with the win going to the HD7870 IMO. Based on pricing the GTX560ti 448 seems like a much better deal though.

My best 3dMark11 score so far is just under 8000.
http://hwbot.org/submission/2259829_sonda5_3dmark11___performance_geforce_gtx_560_ti_448_7954_marks

I've been told by a few over clockers that if I had a 2600k and over clocked it I could probably get another 1,000 points added to my score.

I'm planning on getting an IB cpu ASAP and when I do I am going to run chilled water in my loop. I'm hoping for some scores close to 10,000 on 3dMark11. :rockout:

Time for the n00b to bring in the 'big rig'

It's obvious that ComputeMark doesn't have the proper ability to read your hardware stats; the CPU is strapped at 1.25 * bclk so it idles at 1500Mhz and goes to full load at 4500Mhz. As expected, the CPU idled during the whole test -- proving that the benchmark does little to nothing with your CPU.

The Sapphire Dual-X 7970 OC card isn't 24/7 stable at these speeds; the everyday overclock is 1200 / 1575 with 1.17vgpu. It was fine for multiple runs of this bench tho...

I will never understand the compulsion to get the highest benchmark scores possible because it s near impossible to "win" unless you have 25k and a ln2 truck on standby
even then its hard as fuck

Nah. It's all in good fun; there are a thousand people out there who have a faster setup than me. My ego isn't defined by what a big pile of anonymous folks think about my computer; my ego is defined by the life I live with my wife and six month old daughter. Whom are both asleep right now ;)

Lord knows I didn't attract my wife with my giant computer case and epic overclocking skills! It's all in good fun and far safer than spending the money on my playtoy car in the garage (I'm far less likely to die in a catastrophic computer benchmarking session than a road course...)

Crossfire will work you have to run it full screen. Not sure about SLI maybe someone that has SLI can try full screen to confirm.

I get P7850 ish with my HD 7870 and 2500k @ 4.5Ghz.

I paid £265 for mine, which is about £65 more than the 560ti 448 here. Mind you, I don't have water cooling.

I get P7850 ish with my HD 7870 and 2500k @ 4.5Ghz.

I paid £265 for mine, which is about £65 more than the 560ti 448 here. Mind you, I don't have water cooling.

HD7870 is selling for around $350 in the USA. Our cards are very close in performance but I think yours is a little better. I like the 28nm power efficiency and the 2GB of VRAM. I don't like the price though. :D
