Help with GFX choice (HD7970 vs. GTX680)

i have been thinking if will i regret taking a used Sapphire Radeon HD7970 for around 533~584USD / 409~449euro when i can get a GTX680 for around 671USD / 516 euro's?

i use Nvidia Cuda/PhysX when ever i can also for decoding and converting sometimes but i dunno if i should save some money and grap a used Sapphire Radeon HD7970 instead of a new GTX680 anyone think i will regret that?

My AMD fanboyism always takes a hit when I have to post things like this. :roll:

If Cuda and PhysX are important to you, an Nvidia card is the obvious choice.

Problem with the 680 is they are never in stock, this is why AMD can stubbornly leave their prices high on the 7970.

I hand it over to AMD though, it's not just about the GPU, it's about marketing and making sure you have enough in stock. Good business.

well i have seen that issue in my country but finally found some sites that does have it in stock, still it's tempting to try out a Sapphire Radeon HD7970 since they sold used now, bcs ppl want the GTX680 still the 1536 cuda cores is really really tempting and i could use them when i do coding (de/en) ^^

hmm looks like i can't get a EVGA anytime soon, doing easter here why shops even they r closed had on them on stuck and now today they was not in stock anymore so i guess i will need to go with a KFA2 instead bcs that one is in stock at my local hardware store, even it's almost 35USD / 27euro more expensive and only got 2years warrenty.
