I haven't researched my self much on this but i always didn't felt good having a camera pointed at me, this is what i always been worried not something i first saw on web.

Though i don't own X360 and probably will never use kinect ...

Beware - next gen consoles might be bugged for spying. Can't find the article now.

Im getting WiiU and nothing else anyways... and yes that wiiu tables has a camera and sensors ... better block the camera with some magic duct tape.

Seems like something similar to this you don't want to have in your house.

Fear, uncertainty, doubt.

"No expectation of privacy when using our live features" is the quote that is being strung out of context and then used to pave the internet in FUD. If you are using the Kinect system to send your video and audio likeness over the internet, you should not expect it to be 'private'. As in, someone out there can be capturing the video feed that you are purposefully sending to them and then post it on YouTube.

So, it's nothing new or different than what could happen if you Skype with someone and they do the same thing. Basically, only send video and audio to people whom you trust, or else don't say / do something that you wouldn't want posted on YouTube (ie that someone else could be recording as part of your conversation.)

This is not the same as the camera just turning on and watching you while you are watching porn -- or whatever. Thus, the whole premise of "spying" goes right out the window.

Not sure if any of you went through this, but remember when you were younger and watching TV and having that feeling that somehow "they" could look back at you?

Well I now have that feeling again

epic quote lmao

if someone is worried about privacy unplug the bastard and tuck it away when not in use. This reminds me of the people that scratch out the bar code on the back of their DL's

absolutely - you can rely on them to write shock articles with no basis in fact, simply to scare people into buying their brand.

don't get me wrong - they are more reliable than our govt - but what you can rely on them for is not something worth doing. it is lies more often than not, and no discernible way to tell the difference because they think everything they say is true
