EDIT: Already paid on processor, will be awaiting chip, evaluation of chip then, and when my rig is completely together in a month or two I'll evaluate the chip in full. Thank you everyone who offered both products and advice.

Phenom ii 960t that has been previously unlocked to an x6 and overclocked over 4ghz for $100.

be careful of pre-overclocked chips. If your system is not setup identical to it, it may not work well if at all. (previous experience)

960t is a good chip though. Make sure your Ram is top notch or else OCing the Chip will be nerfed by Memory bandwidth.

Im having the problem with my FX-8120 and RAM bandwidth.

Yeah going with amd performance RAM DDR3-1600 mhz CAS 8.

and as far as it's running, I'll have crossed fingers for now I think.

Will be going with an Asrock 990FX Fatal1ty professional mobo most likely.

Looking to buy an AMD X4 CPU for under $100. Would prefer a 960t, although a Deneb is my second choice and I will still consider an FX-41xx chip depending on price.
Would prefer to pay via Paypal.
Geographic location: Chicago, IL area.

You do know that both Chicago and Westmont MicroCenters have the 960T in stock for $89.99.

Since you are going to pick up a pretty good OCing board, you can as well try out the Phenom II X4 830 and OC the crap out of it. $50 for a quad core, u can't beat it.

Unfortunately I'm in the Chicago geographic region, but am considerably a ways away from Chicago itself. Perhaps it would have been better to say the northern half of illinois. And I don't have a car so... yeah. Stuck within biking distance sadly. 65 miles is not biking distance.
Still, my current deal I at least know OC's decently and that it does unlock to an x6, so I'll be content with it I would figure.

65miles is biking distance. I do 35miles in 1.5hrs on my Trek 1.2 ($740, 27speed). I'm sure a couple hours here and there would be good for most of us pc nutz ^_^

My bike is an 8 year old, $75 Walmart special 15 speed.
Yeahno. Although I know I could bike it... my bicycle I'm not so sure about. Plus, it's $15 to wait a bit longer, have it guaranteed it will unlock and overclock decently, it gets shipped to my house without having me take a risk of getting stranded with a broken bike, and it's a 1-3 year solution at most, after which it will be upgraded to Steamroller if it comes to AM3+, otherwise I'll be getting the best Piledriver 8-core I can when I feel I should upgrade my CPU. Which is whenever I both have the money and I have a reason to upgrade XD.
And I walk two hours a day when I'm off work, and most of the time while I've been working recently it's been so slow I powerwalk laps. Not quite such an issue for me there.

Edit: Paid now, and thank you everyone who offered both products and advice.
