Hey guys, I have to choose a CPU heatsink and i have two choices.

They cost to me almost the same.

Which of these two be more quiet, more interest to the highest fan speed noise.

Thermalright macho HR02

or

Zalman CNPS 11 X Extreme

Thanks alot for any advice

According to Frosty, the thermalright is silent at low speed but noisy at high speed.
Zalman is relatively noisy both ways.

System Name "the strong silent type"
Processor i5 3570k

Well i just checked:
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpage/Zalman-CNPS11X-Extreme-CPU-Cooler-Review/1266

which suggests the zalman is quite loud, and i'm getting the macho 2 myself probably, as it's quite a good cooler and extremely silent compared to most other decent cooling solutions.

Only thing it falters at is if you want to do high oc's then you are better of with an archon or silver arrow.

I'm not seeing the thermalright at frostytech erixx?

Anyhoe according to those sources the thermalright does 37 decibel at full load, which is very very quiet, and the zalman does 56db full load, ofc they arent from the same website, so testing methods might differ.

You confirm my doubts thanks for the advice, so better the Thermalright for my goal.

Thanks very explicative. Macho is the choice.

Thermalright archon rev.a seems a tiny cooler but is nice.

No prob for the weight i worry only that does not touch the RAM dimms on my motherboard.

looks like neither one has rubber mounts or the like to help with noise from vibration of the fan.
