read his posts since he started posting here, its all trolling, maby hes a sockpuppet for another user who just wants to troll for fun, i dont care, somebody needs to modslap him again.

I did look at his posts... Lol he was here asking for help on overclocking his x1950pro... And even had a post saying it was a great card... So I figured I would play nice for once in my life, it's pretty rare... But I do agree with you!

I have a 1950 pro pci e and had 7600gt's and i'm right that the 1950 pro is a pig....my opty 170 was close to 13000 overclocked..in aquamark and the 1950 pro didn't hit 16000...that means the card sucks..at 1300 my xfx 7600gt xxx (cost 150) would have out scored the 1950 pro..you might not like what i said but it's true/ go to page 55 in the AMDOVERCLOCKER'S CLUB post 1365 AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN..

its a little late in the posts but X1550 is a crappy card X1300 is the same as the X1550. Go for at least a X1650 pro if need be but the X1650XT looks like you best ATi choice. The 7600gs is also a good card go for that if its cheaper it out performs all the pre-X1950 (X1650XT and under)

I say go with the x1950pro. Then when you upgrade the rest of the system you have something to get by with for awhile.

Man honestly if its not software to blame here.... I would seriously be returning a x1950pro if a 7600gt is out performing it... Every test out there shows the x1950pro dominating even a 7900GT... Let alone a 7600...

A friend of mine has an XFX 7600GT with a p4 3.2. I get near the same scores on my machine then he does on his.. Now grated I have better overall stuff but... If my x1300xt can match his 7600gt, a x1950pro should be wailing on it, making it look likes its bi***...

I'm not smashing on anyone here, but if a 1950pro is performing that badly something is way wrong, or the card manufacturer is crap.

I guess you rma'd your first X1950? And got the same issues when you got a replacement or they told you there was nothing wrong with it? A 512Mb version would make next to no difference with the resolutions I play @

I do understand your quarms, but there is alot of evidence to show it is a brill bang for your buck card :)

Thats the goofy part... It simply doesn't make any sense...

My only guess would be that the company that made the card is building a trash card..

What in the hell....

First we get a guy claiming his 7600GT beating a x1950Pro.... Now we have a person saying that a 7600GS is better than a x1650xt!!! :twitch:

Geforce 7600GS reference vs Radeon x1650xt reference

Geforce 7600GS reference vs Radeon x1600xt reference

The 7600GS has a hard enough time keeping pace with the older x1600xt (in some but not all tests), let alone trying to survive against the x1650xt. I'm willing to bet that the x1650pro is stronger than the 7600GS as well.

Man, one has to be extremely carefull not to step in all the bullsh*t around here! :wtf:

im sorry i ment 7600GT which is a slightly better performer than the X1650XT

here is a regular X1650PRO vs. 7600GS/GTcomparo
X1650XT vs. 7600GT comparo
here is a 7600GT review

may i mention that you were correct but the 7600GS is much cheaper than the X1650XT

X1650XT $150 after $30MIR

7800GS $160after $50 MIR
and that blows away the X1650XT

7600GS $110 after $20MIR

6800XT $100 <----not that terrible of a card for the money<----very good when unlocked 12pp

7600GT $144 after $30 MIR

6800 GS OC $134 after $30MIR <----also a very capable card when unlocked to 12pp

X1650PRO $110 after $15MIR

Either your system is too slow for the card or there is something seriously wrong with it. Stop implying that people will get ripped off if they buy a x1950pro, if it works properly they will easily get double the performance a 7600gt can provide.

Consider 2 x1650xts over clocked don't match a single x1950pro in all testing, and the x1650xt runs neck and neck with a 7600gt depends on settings and program, I am willing to bet a single x1950pro *that works properly* and 2 7600Gt's in SLI will be a fairly close run but the x1950pro will probably still win. But it should be close if you consider most the actual performances of both cards under applications.

Rick I'm afraid enough is enough, stop posting libel, you are clearly attemting to deface ATI, through false statements. TWO 7600GTS WILL NOT COME CLOSE TO A X1950PRO. THE X1650XT > 7600GT. END OF STORY.

Josh is about to get his gpu and you guys stop arguing.

Guys relax...rick may have an incompatibility which is getting him such low scores. When i had my old FX5200, it would run warcraft 3 on MAX settings on 1 comp, then on my other comp with the SAME specs but a different mobo, it had to be set to the lowest and it still got some lag.

The point is: Stop flaming each other :p

The X1950 PRO doesnt have a stable OC'ing program yet, thats why the OC is a little bad ;)

Now lets get back to the main topic.

Since the Athlon took the crown from the P3 in 1999, the release of Barcelona next year will mark the end of the 2nd year intel has owned the performance crown. If a revised c2d can stay ahead of Barcelona then intel can say they have caught up. Till the can prove it, they are still trying to catch up.

Have you seen the cpu mark thread?
