I still don't know what I will have in the way of lectures when I'm at college but I do know that I won't be able to live without my gaming but that I can't drag my desktop with me either lol.
If I have to plug in during class or lunch I wouldn't really mind that much and I could always buy a spare battery or something along those lines.
Better get used to writing your notes in lectures then, even the most subborn ones gave up after a month of lugging their gaming laptop around
As for the ability to charge during lectures, that depends on individual lecture halls. The lecture hall I primarily use is quite oldschool, and no ability to charge. You will have to check individual lecture halls in the uni you are planning to go.
Plugging in during lunch should be easy, especially in libraries.
