Need Help Deciding Which Corsair TX 650W To Get?

Hi guys,
I am about to purchase a 650 Corsair brand PSU, but I am having trouble deciding which one to get. The v1 Corsair 650TX has over a thousand reviews in newegg that rate it excellent. The v2 Corsair 650TX has only a couple hundred with 4 eggs. The v2 however, is rated 80 bronze; whereas the v1 is rated 80plus. Which one should I get? This will be powering a xfx 7970.

They are both great units, but the V2 is made by Seasonic(IIRC) and the V1 is ChannelWell. Plus the V2 is a fair bit cheaper at newegg than the V1, and the V2 has slightly more power on the 12v rail. I'd go with the V2.

They are both good and as far as I know both are Seasonic. TX650M is CWT.

I believe there is a V2 for 70 dollars after 10% off and after 10dollar mail-in rebate..

btw.. anyone know if those rebate debit cards are reliable and if most stores take em? If theres no name on them, I think stores might think it is shady. Honestly.. what the heck am I gonna do with a 10 dollar debit card? Anyways, I digress ^^.. haha

AFAIK, all the V1 TX units were CWT. I know the TX950, TX850, and TX750 were all CWT, so I would assume the TX650 was also, but I could be wrong.

Either way, I'd go with the V2 anyway still.

The 750 was also CWT. I had one. However I wouldnt buy one today. I sold mine for a Seasonic X series 650 Gold. FAR better PSU.

I guess mostly compare the Antec EarthWatt and the Corsair TX650V2.

I'd still go with the Corsair. The EarthWatts isn't really a better PSU, and certainly isn't worth the extra money.

Plus, I just can't recommend an Antec PSU to anyone, not after all the failed ones I've had. I'm not a person to normally write off a brand, but I won't touch Antec PSUs with a stick. They've burned me too many times.

90% of the PSU i've used were antecs.. and/or whatever that had good rebate. Although, this is the first time i am building my comp, so i have to consider what is the "current" standard and not crappy. lolz

only thing left is to find out what mobo i want ;3..

Depends what cards you want to SLI or CF and what else you have in your machine. Two GTX670 will work but I wouldn't risk two 7970.

I know I comparing a 650W to a 750W, but I just want to know which brand is more reliable and would last longer. I've read up some reviews on the FSP 750W and it's got some rave reviews. My question is, which PSU would be the most reliable. I will giving the less reliable to a friend of mines.
