Cooler Master, an industry leading chassis, thermal solution, peripheral, and accessory manufacturer, today announces the next incarnation of the extremely popular QuickFire Rapid Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, the QuickFire Pro.

Featuring a smooth and clean aesthetic, QuickFire Pro includes laser-marked keycaps and a non-glossy matte finish. This is complemented by a set of extra keycaps (includes a key puller) that give the keyboard an extra appeal that draws other gamers in. A response time of 1ms, in USB mode, offers gamers a necessary consistency to navigate the ever changing landscapes of their video game libraries. With the Windows Key being disabled in GAME mode, users will no longer worry about possibly losing a match from accidentally minimizing the game.

Multimedia shortcuts are available to ensure that media can be controlled with ease. With N Key Rollover, users deploying the QuickFire Pro in either USB or PS/2 mode can activate many keys on the keyboard simultaneously. Pro gamer themed red LED lighting is present in common game keys such as WASD surrounding gaming cluster.

High-grade Cherry MX Switches
Offering the best available mechanical hardware, QuickFire Pro integrates Cherry MX switches. These provide the QuickFire Pro with the ability to respond to, and recover from, furious button presses with almost zero lag. Vastly improve your possible gaming actions per minute by utilizing a QuickFire Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard in FPS, MMO, RTS, and other games. Cherry MX Red, Black, Brown, or Blue switches availability will vary based on region.

Hassle-free Travel and Cable Management
Travel with ease by simply removing the included braided USB cable and storing it. While attached, the braided USB cable can be routed through cable management grooves in the back of the QuickFire Pro. This prevents unsightly cable clutter and helps minimize risk due to a hanging cable catching a foot or leg from a loved one.

QuickFire Pro will be available in shops from 10 June, 2012.Expected price 83.19€ without VAT.Price and availability may vary by region. Please consult your local Cooler Master Representative for more information.

Cable routing, Fn function keys, windows key disabling, LEDs; so if the build quality is even semi decent it should be a good buy for that price, especially with the choice of switches. Looks a bit fugly but i could personally over look that.

Oh look even has LEDs for people who bang on about they MUST have them.

I do, having illuminated keys is good and if you dont like turn them off.
What I dont understand is why this is a "gaming" KB

It´s just like a "normal" KB with some aesthetic mod´s, a gaming KB should be like mine:

I never stated whether i liked or disliked backlit keys i just said i never understood them. Why are they such a must have feature? I couldn't care less if you bought a board with lights, the keys are more important to me, besides there are boards that have fully illuminated keys and mechanical switches.

What makes anything "gamer"? Gamer cases, gamer mice, gamer ram, gamer mouse mats; NO difference to a non gamer branded version, its a marketing term that's all.

MX Blues and MX Browns are excellent keys for typing on. The whole point of mechanical keys is they fatigue less and feel nicer to press, unless you have used one you would never truly understand what they are like to type on. Logitech G15 this supposedly awesome gamer keyboard and it had the mushiest keys ive ever used, so much i went back to my old board before purchasing my Zowie.

I am not sure I could use a keyboard with out a wrist rest, it would take some getting used to or have to get a aftermarket one.

RE: Backlighting keyboards - I bought a Corsair K60 Vengeance (non-backlit) because it is my favorite of all currently offered models. I preferred it to the K90 (that is backlit) because it was smaller, more attractive, came with special gamer keys, and because I figured that individual LEDs could eventually start going out.

I handled the backlighting issue by mounting a 6-LED strip underneath the leading edge of my monitor stand - it shines down on my keyboard and gives just enough ambient glow around it to keep me from getting eyestrain after long gaming sessions. It also helps me find little things laying around on my desk in the dark.

If you want a fully backlit CoolerMaster mechanical gaming keyboard, theres always the CM Storm Trigger - it also has a wristrest!
