I really need a new desktop but i don't have the money for it.
So im starting to sell my current laptop.
It's a fine thing for internet browsing, but a bitch for editing & gaming.

It's an Windows 7 Home Premium Packard Bell EasyNote TK87 64bits.

Specifications:

Processor:
Intel® Core™ i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz, 2667 MHz, 2 core('s), 4 logic processor(s)

Video Card:
Intel® HD Graphics.

4 GB DDR3 Memory
640 GB HDD

DVD-Super Multi DL Drive

My LCD 15,6 Screen is broken, yes i punched the screen.
But the hardware inside the case isn't damaged no

the mother board is working perfectly. Only the keyboard is damaged a bit.

I was wondering, how much money can i ask for this?
Thanks!

That's in rough shape. Assuming you got a new LCD screen and keyboard @ about $200-$250 for both, probably $400, that's just a wild ass guess. If it had a better GPU, probably $100-$150 more.

If you're interested in selling please make a thread in this forum and make sure you post your heatware and a picture of the laptop together with your forum name handwritten on a piece of paper.

Secondly, I'd suggest you at least try to repair the screen before trying to sell. That image with the broken screen would put off any potential buyer, and moreover you might get more $$$ for the repaired laptop to make up for the expense of fixing the screen.

if the pricing works out to not be best to repair the screen before selling, trying it on ebay as a parts machine is your last bet. someone with a screen may need the rest of the parts, etc - chances are low and it's a hassle but you might just otherwise be spending money repair a laptop that you won't be able to sell to cover the cost of repair.

I wouldn't know anyone who would buy this. Perhaps if you're letting it go for around 25 bucks someone might bite on it. A laptop with a broken screen and has been abused in this way is basically junk.

As it is now I would pay $50. Replace the screen and keyboard so you can at least pitch it as being in fair condition, then you can get the average market price for your laptop, which would be in the $300 range. A new screen & keyboard should cost less than $100.

Don't go around punching and destroying your equipment, if you wish it to have any value.
Redirect that energy, used to punch the laptop, into a useful source of income... so you can afford a desktop.

As is, you might get 25 to 50 bucks for it... from someone who wants to repair it.
Repair it and maybe, 200 or more, as long as you did not 'cause damage to it else where or visible damage (such as... a bent, scratched, and/or warped case).

If you're interested in selling please make a thread in this forum and make sure you post your heatware and a picture of the laptop together with your forum name handwritten on a piece of paper.

BP, is right on in her summation.

And, IMO, you got your answer and the thread should be closed, before the thread goes any farther into the Twilight Zone of BS & Useless answers.
