Well, i 've been visiting this site for ages but only registered few days ago...
Last i bought a computer about 2.5 yrs ago, n im planning building a new one for my side income project. Budget is $500 ( that is about RM1600 valued at my country money).

Budget : Strickly $500 only (processor + Graphic)

Computer use for :
0. Use for 2 - 5 yrs
1. Photo / Video editing,
2. Average gaming - i dont need high resolution gaming, as long as it can play most of the newly game (medium setting)
3. Media center - HD movie, Karaoke etc etc.
4. Planning to buy BD-ROM later, so the display card should be HDCP ready.

After reading so many review etc etc, i couldnt make up my mind which one to buy...

Processor: Which one?
AMD FX 8-Core 8150
AMD FX 8-Core 8120
i7-2600
i7-3770
i7-2600k
i5-3570k

Graphic which one Nvidia / ATI version? After above processor money left?

*Note that processor or graphic brand does not matter to me as long as it under the budget limit.
*Will be planning to add 8 to 16gb of RAM
*n please no "fighting" over on which one brand is the best :)

What country do you live in and what online suppliers do you prefer?

Also list what parts your putting this together with

The i5-3570k would be the best option then put the rest into the graphics if you want any level of descent graphics

If budget is a must; i5 2400 or i5 3450 and get an inexpensive h77/b75.

whats your psu watts?

because you can get an i7 and a gtx480 for 500 which for the price you will not do better... as long as you have a 700+ watt psu youll be fine

Maybe going with the A8 series from AMD. Good price, good power and exceptionnal incorporated graphic. Since the cpu and gpu are bolted together they auto adjust on demand and run cooler. No ned of extra graphic card since you do only medium gaming. Moreover they consume les power and produce less heat than the FX series so for an HTPC its perfect.

if your going that route then wait for a trinity model apu, no reason to use old cheap technology when you can get new cheap technology.

You can get the 2600K for significant discount @ Microcenter... Putting it in the same price range as the i5 IVB chips. Higher overclocking potential with less expensive cooling options needed.
So, say $250 for CPU still leaves enough for an EVGA GTX570 which are dropping in price like crazy, and in another few months you can grab a second one (and third?) and have a great system that will be more than capable of any single-monitor game and most multi-monitor ones...

I hope that helps! :)

TY for the reply, hard to quote so i answer all the questions in this post.

Country : Malaysia
ONline Store : PCdepot.com.my, the price is a bit cheaper or readily available compare to other vendor. Buying from newegg will add (+shipping cost) more cost to my items.
PSU watts : should be above 700.

Im not really into OC things, that why im planning buying the highest ghz+best+price ratio currently offer by pcdepot. However, i couldnt make my own decision of which above processors should i buy.

No problem. t's good for an HTPC and it lowers the cost of the power supply since the maximum watage needed for the cpu-graphic incorporated is 100 watts. I know Im not expert but lets say that if you put it in with the motherboard, one hard disk, the memory, the dvd burner and even a blue ray reader you could go way under your price you wanted to pay. Still could manage to buy a good quality 350-400 watts power supply to run it.
