I just did a clean W7 install.
All updates and SP1 are installed and yet I'm getting a WEI score of 6.0 :wtf:

My 6990 is the lowest scorer! Does anybody know whats up with that?

I'm used to getting a score of 7.8 as the cpu is the weakest link in the chain.

HELP

First off, WEI is a load of bs.
Second, to actually be constructive:
have you put your OC back on your card? (the one in your system specs, 1000/1505)
are you running the same graphics drivers as before?

WEI uses one GPU. Please, put no stake in WEI scores, they're meaningless.

who cares. Do some better benchmarks like 3dMark to determine if your card is playing up

who cares.

Guess the OP does, since they posted the thread.:shadedshu

Back to the topic.

Did you try deleting the .XML file in the folder "C:\Windows\Performance\WinSat\DataStore"
Re-boot then re-run the assessment.

Also, here is a little info on the real source of the WEI scores... Winsat

WEI is a not a real good testing tool except for windows, itself, to adjust itself for the results it comes up with. Such as, is the graphics system able to run aero, will the USB stick be able to use readyboost, and etc.

Yep, I had a problem the first time I installed Windows 7.
It would rate my system, I had then, at 1.0 on everything, over and over.
So, after a little read up on the subject, that was one of the fixes for inaccurate results.
Glad it worked.:)
