Okay, I've been wanting a new case for a while now. This 922 has been good to me, but I just want to upgrade. I think I've narrowed it to Corsair 500r and NZXT switch 810, but I'm still open to suggestions in the 129 dollar range.

Also, Xigmatek Elysium is on sale $50 off at newegg. Which is tempting, but I don't know if I want to spend that much.

Please help my indecisiveness.

Afterward, I will be wanting to sell my 922 if anyones interested.

I've used a fair few cases over the years as I've built my own computers. My favorite so far has been the Corsair 800D I've had for a couple years now, so I would recommend the 500R based off that.

I have the Elysium... don't get it, its not worth it... Yes its big, but the fit and finish on it is ok at best.

Are you going to be watercooling?

thanks I had been wondering about the build quality of that.

Yeah, I am going to be watercooling eventually.

I recently got the Corsair Obsidian 550D, it is by far the most well made piece of equipment I have ever owned. It runs cooler than any case I've ever had with all the sound deadening, and if you remove them for fans, it is a fridge.

With the magnetic screens, the amble storage, the high quality parts.. I have no complaints whatsoever. I honestly think Corsair makes great stuff, everything I have from them is pure class (sorry to sound like a fanboy =P)

That is a really nice case; I'm more interested in airflow than quietness though. Also aesthetics. The 550d is just a touch to minimalist for me

NZXT Tempest 410 Elite. I absolutely love it! One of the best cases I have ever used. So many options like removable front fans with cleanable screen filters and it has its own RAD box!

Ah fair enough. I'm a minimalist. I don't like LED's or fancy, I like clean =P

In that case, try the 500R or similar. They are very nice cases. The airflow on the Obsidian is not in any way obstructed by the noise cancelling, btw. It runs TEN degrees cooler on my GPU from my old $40 Rosewill with everything covered up and just the stock fans in the case. If you want to, you can open up the case to get different airflow or if you are doing something nuts it will help a few degrees, but it cools just as well as any other high end case without compromising for loudness.

Idk, I think I'm leaning toward NZXT 810. It has 10 140mm fan mounts and three spaces for rads.

I would choose Corsair 500R, the USB 3.0 option, side 200mm fan and a dust filter (wich you can see through) let you put some lighting leds (instead of cold catodes and the removable hard drive cage it's use full and gives you space if you want really large graphics cards.

Switch 810 :)

I am putting together a water cooling loop in mine, starting with a 3x140 rad in the top (99% certain that I am going with an XSPC EX420 with either 6x NZXT FX-140Z 2krpm 140mm fans or 6x Bgears Blaster 140mm 1800rpm fans in push pull), then adding a 2x120mm radiator in the floor (XSPC RX240, Black Ice GTX 240,or Swiftech MCR220XP with 4x Gentle Typhoon AP15s/AP18s).

It's a truly awesome case, and you don't give up case airflow for all those rads, meaning VRMs and such are kept very cool. I would recommend filling up all the rest of the fan slots with fans like the NZXT FX-140's which push just under 100cfm @ 2.2mmHg making for good intake airflow thru HDD bays and with the two interior fans you have a push-pull effect going on as well as directional aiming.

You will lose one of the ODD bays with a decent rad but I don't think that is a problem if you skip the bay res and mount pump/res elsewhere. That leaves room for an ODD (can still use the stealth cover if you don't mind drilling a couple holes), a fan controller, and the hot-swap drive bay or another item you would like.

Plus, minimal rivets (they used screws!) = super easy disassembly, and the case actually is very well built despite the plastic.

I'm postponing my case buying; I'm getting nvidiaintels' 932 for now.

Thanks for the input everyone; If I decide to upgrade anyway I'll probably get an 810.
