Hi Guys,

From the title you see my flow has tailed off drastically today and yesterday. Before then it was twice as fierce. Has someone got experience with this?

I checked most of the plumbing and the ones I have checked are sound. I think the pump may have had it. What do you think?

Kind regards,

Adrian

If the pump is hooked into a motherboard header, can you check RPM's? It may be time to take the loop apart and check for a clog somewhere, especially if you are using some type of coolant or additive.

It's pure H2o or pure water with a dye. Nothing added. I hate taking it apart. At 100% (12V) the RPM in Aquasuite is quote 4,160 RPM. I don't know what it usually is sorry.

Well, I've seen dyes muck up CPU blocks pretty bad. You may have to take it apart anyways. It's not going to fix itself leaving it alone unfortunately.

You are right the CPU block has grey gunk inside. Can this be minimised? Might it also be in the GPU block. They don't run as hot mind.

Amen to this, I used a dye once, even though many advise against it, and when I took my fairly new CPU block apart to clean, it was all gunked up, pretty nasty. No more dyes for me

Don't use dye and add a silver coil to your loop after you've cleaned it and flushed it out.

Are the bio friendly ready to go (already dyed) ones also off limits? Didn't have a problem with one of them brands.

Don't use dye and add a silver coil to your loop after you've cleaned it and flushed it out.

I used some blue fesser fluid, and it looked cool for a while, but then everything turns blue and gets tiresome to deal with. And the stuff is way too expensive.

Now I use distilled water with one of those things. ^

And I rely on colored tubes and lights for effects.

Im running Distilled water and even have a gram of .999% silver in the loop to ward off algae but now I see a slight film on the walls of the res... Guess it's time to add some Collodial silver to the loop.

Dies are just that, A loop killer. Sure it looks good for a while but it eventually falls outta solution and screws things up.. And your RPM's are good mate! :toast:

@ Panther, the silver coil will work only for a while... I'm dealing with it not working anymore.

After about a year of running straight distilled, I just flushed my loop. Everything is clean. :D One good way not to get algae is to make sure no sunlight hits the loop.

Mine is clean just a slight film on the rez and no sunlight shines anywhere near my loop... I think I need to etch the silver to bring it back to life.

There could be a debris layer around the silver coil, could be worth cleaning it off and refilling the loop?

Straight Redline Water Wetter?!

I swear by the stuff for my cars, especially my track car as it has resulted in about 6degC lower temps on average during the summer, and acts as a corrosion inhibitor for my car running straight distilled water. However, it's in a ratio of one bottle to the entire cooling system of my Bummer (which is heavily upgraded itself, and so with a 75% larger radiator, larger diameter silicone hosing, double-size expansion tank, etc, I can't say for sure what the exact ratio is). I have never seen even 1/2degC benefit from additional Water Wetter, and I monitor the temps via gauges, as well as engine management software records.

I don't doubt one bit that it is an awesome additive for liquid cooling in PCs, but I don't think you will benefit anymore from a 100% Water Wetter loop than you would from a 20:1 or even 40:1 ratio.

Yup, and it's not a cheap coil... It's an actual piece of pure silver that youd buy as if you were buying actual gold pieces.. Im going to clean it and see what happens..

Oh shit I wonder if my UV tube is the problem? But then again UV kills algae! hmm

I agree that additive is awsome... We'd run it in our late model dirt track car and never had any cooling problems what so ever! :rockout:

I would check for a clog if your pump is running @ 4000 RPM's then it sounds about normal to me.

Look at your tubes are any pinched?

Draining the res and then cleaning the cpu block took no more than 10 minutes. Now the loop is powerful so thanks to the first poster.
