I wouldn't own a PC, laptop only if I won the lottery. Since I obviously would be traveling the world constantly.

One of those eurocom laptops with a i7 3960x. Yes the desktop one. The battery life is so bad that its almost better to have a matx desktop for mobility.

I won the state lottery last month. €35 tax free. Cha-ching. I did spend a similar amount on a ceiling mount for the beamer so I guess that's your answer. I'd buy a ceiling mount.

As for myself, I'd build something water cooled in a very large CaseLabs case, with at least two MBs and 3 gpus. I think I'd spend as much on monitors as components, too.

I wouldn't want a laptop. I would want a desktop. I would build a more modern one of these. My own personal super computer.

There's more important things to put money towards. Computers are tools, they're either adequate or inadequate. Except my HDDs filling up quickly every time I format, my computer is adequate.

There are probably 10 things I would put money towards before I got to my pc. This thread is for pc lottery dreaming, not just lottery dreaming.

I would build a custom PC desk like the L3p D3sk, only it should be way cooler.

Specs should be i7 3960X with custom water block, Asus ROG R4 Extreme, two gtx690s in 4 way sli with water blocks of course, lots of RAM and HDD+SSD. And don't forget about audio and visual. Premium grade speaker set, soundcard and 30+ inch monitors should do the trick.

Only thing I would upgrade is a monitor... i.e. a 70" backlit LED LCD (wait do they make 70" LEDs yet? :roll:

Oh and of course a new house to put it in.

Other than that my computer is scweeeeet. Does everything I want it to. Only other upgrade I could do would be is LGA2011 and another SSD for RAID, but thats not worth reinstalling windows no matter how much money I have.

I think i wouldn't change things much. I'd probably just replace graphic cards more often (always a single card, highest end), stick a Corsair Hydro cooler on the CPU and buy a decent sized 1080p display. And that would be about that. I'm happy with my current system, it's my long time crafted sytsem that is dead silent,s mall and quite powerful. I'd just use the money to easier refresh it as needed.

Call me crazy, but there are only three things I'd change.

1) Add HDDs until I couldn't fit any more.
2) Get a tri-680 graphics setup.
3) Get a new Mobo that doesn't suck the chrome off of bumpers (curse you UD5!).

I've got a (small but sufficient) SSD. I've got a 3930, which is more enough for video processing and simulations. The 6950 isn't a bad card, but I'd like something with a little more chutzpah. I'd probably spend the bulk of lottery winnings on more pragmatic things, considering how little time I've actually got to play these days.

Tower wise, I'd probably keep what I have. Maybe change out the 5870s for a HD7970 or GTX680 until GK110 is released in a gaming video card. Maybe alittle better cooling for my CPU.

What I would change is monitors. I would have atleast three 30" 2560*1600 monitors simular to the 30" I have now.

First thought was six 1080 projectors, but I think I'll keep it simple with a single 4K projector. Nice system to match.

As mentioned earlier, massive amounts of redundant storage! Fill out a rack with a UPS, storage servers, and high performance servers powering my personal cloud.
