Noctua NH-U12P SE2 or CM Hyper 412 Slim?

I'm a little confused between the two... Performance-wise, I think U12P is the winner but it costs a little bit more. Also, the fans are not PWM... does this matter? I mean, compared to 412 slim's fans that are already PWMs... None PWM fans still vary in speed according to CPU load/temps right?

I was also thinking of Hyper 212 Evo and set it to push-pull setup but that would also drive up the cost to almost equal to the two... :confused:

for the price i would go with the 212, otherwise the U12P and replace the fans. GT's would be great on it

Yeah, but how significant can the difference be between a PWM and a none PWM?

with pwm the speed of fan follows the heat that generated so if the system get hotter the fan would spin more (you gonna get various speed)
with non pwm the fan will spin on constant speed :toast:

Ohh... even if it's a 3-pin fan? I mean, can it still be controlled via softare? e.g. Speedfan or even Asus' Fan Xpert?

Yes you can still control 3 pin fans with software.
