Hey all. I plug my new MSI GTX 680 and test 3dmark 11. But i am little worried. Take a look about that differences. It is not too much?
Look at 1 loop and 2 loop.On 1 loop In 1 test i have: 45.48 fps but on 2 loop in 1 test i have: 42.95 ( lost 2 fps ) . Something wrong?

I am worried about that 2 loop and score.
All stock.

I know that every Gtx 680 have different BoosT LEVEL but come on, why on that 2 loop i just lost 2 fps. Overheating maybe? System is clean.

Perhaps if you show us things like clocks, temperatures, system specs, etc. we may have a better idea.

It's nothing to worry about. A lot of 680's don't boost massively but they will all boost to what is the specified boost. And as they get hotter (running benchmarks especially) they will boost less due to higher temps (but still should boost to specified).

But i am worried about that 2 fps lost in GT1 on second loop. :((((

You're worrying about a 5% drop in frame rate in one loop on a benchmark? The GTX 680 boosts to different levels dependent on different factors. It will never give the 100% same result (do any cards?)

Stop worrying.

Or buy a 7970 instead. Kepler architecture means slight clock frequency discrepancies from run to run, game to game. It's nothing to worry about.

It wont matter what card you have you will not get the same score EVERY run.

The fluctuations the OP is getting is normal for his card.

litwicki when you do your next run after its done go right to your GPU monitor software and check and see if the clock speed was constant across the time span it was running the benchmark.

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
You don't even know if it's boost of if some process in the background kicked on in the second run.

Your problem is that you're not getting what everyone is trying to tell you so let me try to explain it another way.

You didn't lose 2fps on your second loop, you gained 2fps on your first loop because your card was cooler. A 2fps differential between hot and cool with your card is actually very good for the GTX 680. Your card is performing exactly like the one we're testing in our shop and our system isn't in a case.

I know you're worried because you spent a lot of money on the card but your card is doing well in my opinion.

:toast:

Don't do this. You bought the top of the line card for a reason, you don't want to downgrade to something that's even slower than a GTX 580.

LOL!

the HD7970 is not slower then the GTX580. If it was, AMD has released the worst video card to date. Hopefully you meant GTX670.
