Thunderbird has stopped working Windows 7 SP1 64bit

after i have installed Windows 7 SP1 64bit i wanna use thunderbird again but when i close thunderbird i get this error :confused:

i just installed it and use my old profile, and all from my backup and i never seen this but, oki it's my first time using 64bit but that shouldn't stop Thunderbird, right?

xul.dll crashes in Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird mostly because of antivirus/firewall. I remember people said that Norton Antivirus might cause this. Try to install a fresh copy of Thunderbird.

it did even before i installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, and i have reinstalled it countless times.

so no one can give me a solution that works?

i used the same version of thundbird on 32bit no crashes so i guess it's 64bit related.

nope never been a fan, not even of the old Outlook, i like Thunderbird more ^^

Windows Live is a lot better then Thunderbird man. Its almost as good as Exchange. ALSO you should always install your anti virus BEFORE you install anything else.
