Recommendations for a Business Laptop

Ok, a usually cheery friend wrote this to me:

"Any laptop you'd reccommend for the business travelling professional? I think I'm done with lenovo."

She's not into games other than online, but needs lots of connectivity, lightweight and reliable, she travels a lot. She does work with server emulation software, so a good processor and good amount of memory.

And not a Lenovo.

I have a Dell "somethingbook" at work myself and have liked it. Problem with mine, a little large and heavy, the PSU is the size of a shoe!

If she doesnt want a Levono (which is stupid IMO for a work laptop) then I agree with Brandon. Dell.

On a side note Levono is a great laptop.

An ultrabook is a good idea. The i7-3517U is a strong CPU and it has the HD Graphics 4000 on chip which can help with light gaming. You can get one as low as $800. Don't know which brand might be more suitable.

In case she has that eletronics killing touch that some people seem to have, can save money each time and just get Acers. Heck, buy two or three and have them in reserve.

I like my HP Elitebook 2530p. Paid like 500-600$ for mine , it has an L9400 or something, 4GB RAM, 80GB intel SSD and ~5 hours of real time usage. 12" 16:10 and perfect size/weight

17" too damn big n heavy. I cannot see a Dell lasting half the time of a Lenovo

Else a good ultrabook would do. Maybe the Toshiba ultrabook? or Samsung

If she killed 5 laptops nothing is gonna last with her. Ive seen Levonos dropped from a moving car (about 5 mph and a long story) in a parking lot and crank right up.

Yeah just buy a Mac. I agree with Bonkers. Thats all this is about. Once she pays like 2k for it she will take better care of it.
