After using CCleaner, I think it deleted an AsusSetup Log.iniis file. It says that "Temp\112518Log.iniis lost" is lost.

How do I recover this?

Recuva could help. (Ironically another program from Piriform, the same people that make Ccleaner.)

Do I have to recover this log file? Is it important? Why did CCleaner delete it?

Does the free version of Recuva recover deleted files? It doesn't say in the description.

The free version does recover data. I've used to quite a few times to save peoples data.

Recuva couldn't recover the deleted log file

Is your system misbehaving or programs crashing/not starting, then no... don't worry about a log file.

However, you keep calling it an inii file... do you mean it is an .ini file; if so, run the program the file is for, open the options menu, set the options, save the options... it will probably re-wite the .ini file.

If, it won't start, then try a repair on the program or re-install the program affected.

CCleaner deleted it,because it is set to delete log files, temp files, etc. as default.
It is a program, you must set its options and tell it what to do and not to do.

Recuva Documentation

Accidentally deleted an important file? Lost something important when your computer crashed? No problem! Recuva recovers files deleted from your Windows computer, Recycle Bin, digital camera card, or MP3 player. And it's free!

And, same info here: Recuva File Recovery

I think this log file was causing the sudden black screens. After I went to the registry and deleted that file, I don't seem to be having this problem anymore.

O.K., however, it is unlikely a log file would cause black screens.

Are you still saying log file and meaning .ini file?

It is just my opinion... you need to back up your data and do a fresh install of your OS and programs, as I stated in your other thread you just started.

Nope, after I deleted that file in the registry, I don't have that pop up anymore.
My boot time is fast because I have a Samsung 830 512GB, but Usually I see other people with SSD boot with the entire animation of the windows merging, but mines can't seem to finish the merging and boot to the desktop so fast. Is this suppose to happen?
Temp log files don't affect anything right? Why do I have an error message then?
