Good work?

So you don't want people to have control of their devices? You don't want people to be able to play their PSP games that they own on their new device, or the minis they own that may not be supported? You don't want open source software or indie developers making homebrew content?

oh god, here we go. why would you ever buy a device that DOESN'T do you what you described? if you buy it then you are an idiot because you know it doesn't do what you want. people just like to complain.

I bought the device because I wanted to play games. And it does that...sort of. However why limit progress on something that is going to eventually happen anyways? I'm not complaining, I'm stating that it is stupid for them to not allow you to use your device as you want.

I just hope they provide a way to get my PSP games playable on the Vita, and of course for free. I have a decent PSP UMD collection and its a shame that I can no longer play them as I don't have the PSP anymore.

I loved them during the PS2 era, how can I not try these out? :d

PSP, Vita, they have immense potential and is what I think are true mobile gaming platforms. But of course, Sony had to mess things up. We need an Xbox portable to spice things up.

i agree. after the ps2 and the psp slim, sony really dropped the ball. they deliver these products with so much potential but they always are crippled by the software. bad management over at sony.

If the Playstation 3 belonged to someone who would encourage developers to produce more PS3 exclusive content from the start then the xbox 360 would have been toppled by now. The PS3 hardware is so underutilized by crappy xbox 360 ports that in all honestly its a miracle anyone has figured out how to make great PS3 exclusives. Just look at God of War 3 as the prime example of what a PS3 exclusive can be graphically.

Also screw Sony for trying to stop jailbreaking on the Vita. It was their choice to put out a crappy device with no notable games in its library.
