I'm thinking to buy a nvidia graphic card for use phsyx, but i dont know must have DX11 for games that support DX11, or no matter for phsyx?

I have HD6950 as primary card.. Motherboard: ASUS M4A88T-V EVO Power supply: e-quiet systempower 700w So i think i can install another nvidia card.

If you can recommend me please..
And want to spend minimum..

PD: Sry for my bad english..
Bye and thanks

anything with 96 cuda cores and above BUT newer physx games seem to be taking more such as borderlands 2 so I would recommend a 9800GT Green edition (not to take up another 6pin PCIex power connector).

Even with two 6950's you still would not be able to use physix due to it being an Nvidia feature.

Yeah i know that but i think his money would be better spent on a second 6950 to enhance his gaming experiance rather than a physix card which would only help him in a handful of games and force him to have both nvidia and radeon drivers installed which could cause issues.

but if you still need a physix card i vote for the 450gts (can get them used for really cheap).

Might as well sell the 6950 and pick up a 670 or 660TI. This would give you the power you need and the physx

If he could manage the cost yes that would be ideal.

Welcome Jack1n and Trifasi-KO to TPU!

Brandonwh64 is right: Get an NV card that is not going to use an extra connector, and that is cheap and easy to implement.

It doesn't take a nice card to pull physx off, pretty much anything will do nicely from what I gather.

I can run PhysX on high without a Nvidia card and maintain over 60fps on average with my system. :)

You can run physix off your cpu but it is extreamly unoptimized to run on it so it would take a beefy cpu.
