that graphics card alone cost me 450$

Its not about what you paid for it.
Its about how much it costs now.
Now you could get an 8800GTS for $400 (def. cheaper) and it kills your graphic card.

Also, technology ages very fast and due to that it loses its value very quickly.
You will not get $1000 for it.
Maybe $500 if you include the OS on there.

ouch. best of luck selling that rig for $1000. dont get me wrong, its not a bad rig and im sure it will serve its next owner well but in todays market id say you could sell it max $600 if that includes a legit copy of windows. for $1000 you could build a real nice c2d rig with a 8800gts.

we know how much your parts are worth. that isnt the point. who would spend 400 bucks on an old graphics card when for the same price they could get an 8800gts ? a card that absolutely crushes yours.

Zek would like to remind you that if you want to argue the price, you should keep it in the PMs, and if the PMing get's rough, report it to me.

Listen up guys and read the rules Please

Only post in a FS/FT thread if you are...
1) Bumping the thread. (Once every 24 hours for sellers)
2) Interested in the item and asking a question.
3) Negotiating the price of an item you want to buy. (But this should preferably be done through private messages.)

Don't do these things in FS/FT threads:
1) Argue over whether prices are fair, or...
2) ...say that something else is cheaper elsewhere.
3) Argue with other members.

$450 for an X850XT? The egg has it for $102 sorry to say m8, and thats the PE model.... no idea where you looked where it was still sold for $450  IMO that system is worth $500-550 tops. Parting it you may get a little better money. Its a solid system, but you just wont be able to get what you paid for it new.

Yeah I think you could/should part out the cpu, mobo and ram and keep the rest of the system for your nexted build.

While your waiting you could put the system in your local newspaper too, they sell good in my local paper.. but on here or ebay, I think your best parting out some parts... those are nice parts freom what people said, I think you can part out your cpu mobo and ram easily.

I'll leave my 2 cents here with DaMulta... The x800s with beat up a x1650xt pretty bad, if you want a hotter new system, get a x1950GT in the least.

how am i rude and why 2 cents

I think he was referring to the people who are arguing with your price, not you yourself. Sorry for the useless post (hope it isn't against the rules, call it another bump if you like), but I thought I'd better clear that up :)
