Well I seem to have missed out on a couple of opportunities to pick one of these up easily, so here I am to see what is out and about, and possibly for sale.

I am not looking for a monster OC chip 5Ghz would be nice, but not mandatory. What I am looking for is something with a great IMC and average to slightly better OC of the cores.

I am not looking to pay retail, if I were I can go to the various places around and have a processor here in a few days anyways. I just figured I would see what my options are before I have to go to the retail channels.

Feel free to PM me with price and CPU stats as not to make a mess of the thread;)

Honestly..just buy one from Microcenter. Really good ones...are really hard to find. Really hard.

I have a decent chip, clock-wise, but memory clocking..not so much. Current chips seem to be getting better, and with MicroCenter having such cheap prices on these chips, the chances of getting a decent one are actually fairly good.

I have yet to see a chip the does 3000 MHz on ram 24/7 with 4 sticks. That is what I would consider good, otherwise, you shouldn't have much problems.

My issue is most chips I get from the egg, suck the donkey!

I would need someone to run for a MC chip, and I turned that down already thinking I would have heard from Dumo. (Found out he was at the super bowl, lucky SOB!)

I have no issue going to retail channels, I just figured if I could save a few bucks and help someone out here, why not take a shot here first;)

One more try at this before I end up with a MicroCenter chip :D

And the price he is asking is a bit insane;)

Its basically a brand new chip, delidded, cheaper then Newegg offering, and clocks better then your run of the mill chip at Microcenter, and runs way cooler.

I drive through the Twin Cities twice a week in my travels through Minnesota. I see there's a Micro center there. Let me ring them in the morning and see if I can get a big car close to the St. Louis Park MC location.... And I can grab you one, and At that price I'm going to grab one myself!

However its also a lot of money to risk since there is no coverage if it magically poops out next week. ;) Oh and shamless bump while I'm at it.

Well after a MC flop buying a 3770K there, I am in search of a second chip now. Figured I would run this again and see if anyone here is ready to let one go, or if i am going to have to bite the bullet and go to Newegg and take my chances.

I picked up a decent 3770k at MC not to long ago.. temps are about the mid to avg for most overclocks. Not the best clocker but decent... hit 4.7ghz stable under water cooling.
