Far cry 3 i7 2600k = fx 4150 and GTX 480+ 5770??

ALRIGHT IM PISSED AS F**K WHY THE HELL IS FAR CRY 3 SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS COMPARING AN I7 2600K AND AN AMD FX 4150?????!!!!!!

an fx 4150 is bullshit compared to the I7 2600k im very mad because this is questioning my knowledge and its just bullshit stuff that i have to know

Relax. With gaming, a CPU isn't the most important thing.

Obviously a 2600K is going to be a little better than an FX 4150 but it still works.

Oh yeah, there is 10-15 fps difference between CPU-s both in Recommended Specs and Hi-Performance Specs. Good job decyphering OP's post

Looking at these specs before title was published, I would have been under impression that there were some bulldozer specific optimizations. Silly me.

Any CPU from about '08 on up will be sufficient for PC gaming, even with a higher end GFX card. I'm VERY tempted to throw a HD78xx/79xx into my 775 rig, but my wallet is saying "nooOOOOOoOOOOOoo!" as summertime is upon us and i could better spend that ~$300 on outdoor stuff

Also, people seem to forget that consoles work "just fine" with their low specs

lolololololol i laughed so hard reading all this and no i dont have a 2600k or a 7950 currently im with a 6-7 year old rig or something with the q6600 and a 8600GTS but instead of upgrading the gtx 660 i wanted to get i will wait a tiny bit more and get a beast with the new hasswell thingy majig if it really is going to be something and intel will not faill like amd bulldozer did and a 1-2 GTX Titans all together with like 100 monitors..? (as many as possible which i dont know hows that) and the 32 gb ram coz i feel like it and mabye throw in some NZXT Phantom V2 and for the heck of it a 2x xeon and switch in between the crappy haswell and xeons maybe ill put in a GTX 690 for physx you know? with a 480gb intel SSD and a 2tb caviar black with another ssd and mabye try and see far cry 4 compare there bullshited head of an gpu the can reach my physx dedicated card its dedicated to physx and yet there probably compare to an Nvidia GTX 550 ti if they do i guarantee that this i dont know how much it cost build on them and then sue them for ruining a pc that cost more than the company that created the game then i want to see them say that a 550 is equivilent to Titan the nearly killed ZEUS the God of the Greek and a 550 thats equivilent to my ass

and thats how you build the best rig in the world for just 20000 Dollars and you say an i7 cheap humph this is cheaper than a pentium 4 running at 2.8 ghz (what im using now) and i got on crysis 3 with no gpu 990 Fps on ultra Msaa x100 or the highest an "anti air" gun goes lol bf3 cries on the toes of my processor the pentium 4 bringing down the mighty BF3 on ultra highest quality in the world at just a low 9,000 Fps

So Having a a system which is balanced is the best. A Stock Q6600 isn't enought for those big game anymore or maybe most of them.. it's not all about cores, it's architecture and the speed of the architecture (when overclcoked you see big gain in some game)

I wouldn't put a GTX 680 on a Q6600... I would prefer getting a GTX 6600Ti and grab an new board, cpu and RAM..


anyway, a game requirements, it's to have an idea of what you would need..

Asus7950DCII, in the future please try to keep your posts and threads to the point of this website. To ask questions with legitimate concerns. Posting to get a "rise" out of people isn't acceptable. Smiley's and stuff are nice, but are annoying when overused.
