LOL, same chip I used 1.6 volts at 5GHz with a 120.3 rad plus 2 x 6970's. Temps were low 60's under load and did not run push and pull fans. :slap:

Oh good we are already speaking volts and stuff; I don't want to start a new thread for this so will ask here--anyone have a ballpark idea of the watts the average pump likely uses? 3? 10?

It depends on the pump, for example my two PMP-400 use 18w each (18w Laing DDCs)

If I were to say an average I'd say 10w tho. (Iwaki and Sanso excluded)

my swiftech mcp655 box says 24w if that helps.

What are you loading with, 62 is max for these chips btw or mine would now be at 5ghz, I use amd overdrive as it loads the cpu well and dosnt fail in a bad way.
And why the doeh head slap , well done you ,you got a good chip but just cos mines hot ass feck dosnt make me mockable dude I didn't have any choice which chip I got and though the same, All chips Are different in respect of what they will clock to So wind your ssmarm in.
