Hello guys i'm about to buy a new components to build my new pc gamer and the specs are :

Core i5 3570k
Corsair vengenace 8gb (4gbx2) 1600 mhz
Cooler Master k380
Msi b75a-G43 (motherboard)
Corsair VS650w (psu)

And i have already a "HD 7850 2gb dual-x OC" and a "Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 SATA 6Gb/s"
i'll buy an SSD 256 go and more hdd's for my games later . So , i want to know about those specs if they're good as an upgrade from q9550 6gb ddr2 400 mhz .. (hp workstation xw4600)
to play games on ultra without lag ect cause with my q9550 when i played Assassin's creed 3 it was lagy with low settings even if i had the hd 7850 and now guys i just want to know if i'll see a huge difference between the previous specs and the new ones and how many fps i'll get in assassin's creed 3 maxed out with a 1680x1050 screen .

If you are not planning to overclock (evident from the board you have chosen) I don't see a need for the "k" chip.

Depending on how long you will have to wait id just wait till you can get a z77 before buying everything.

Maybe even wait for Haswell this summer.

Need Better Motherboard

Very good choices, except the B75 chipset doesn't allow overclocking, and trust me, you'll want to OC it. You need a Z77 board to get the most out of the 3570K. As for how much of an upgrade it is, check the PassMark high-end CPU chart - http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html - Q9550 gets 4,056 CPU marks, 3570K gets 7129. These are averaged from thousands of stock clocked systems, and are a good general indicator of relative CPU performance. My 3570K system scores over 9,000 CPU marks OCed to 4.6 GHz with 2400 MHz RAM, about the same as an i7-3770K at stock clocks. If you're interested, here's an AIDA64 benchmark report (mine is the i5-3570K@4600 MHz/Dual DDR3 2400) -

Thank you so much for the good answer tho , and sure i know that b75a doesn't allow overclocking but i'll change it to a z77 one later and yes the 3570k is a beast for gaming and i just checked the passmark high end cpu chart and i see a big difference which it'll be more with an overclock later as i said and thank you for the aid64 bechmark report i'll check it now .
