yes why ?

CAPS are no longer required since 13.1 i believe? Integrated or something or other.

the 13.4 drivers give me lower fps in bioshock infinite by at least 10 fps compaired to 13.1 , is it just me or are these drivers crud ? .
they also make everything in bioshock infinite look to bright for me , the avp benchmark is also gives lower fps and I will try 3d mark 11 next and edit this post

I believe AMD stated somewhere (I am unsure of the source), that they sacrificed FPS for frame latency improvements. But dont quote me on that. I see some frame latency improvements significantly (to my eyes) in Skyrim.
I ran some tests when they were leaked a couple of days ago.

True, but it changes with every release and generally only applies to the betas. For this latest version of the WHQL's, the CAP should be installed as there is no CAP included with the actual driver. With the 13.5 betas there is a CAP included however the latest CAP just released has some newer profiles. So as of right now, with both the 13.4's and the 13.5 B2's you should install the CAP.

This driver is NEWER than 13.4whql

Are you saying the 13.4's listed in the first post in this thread are newer than the 13.4's listed on AMD's site or are you refering to the beta's?

Thanks for clarifying. :)

I am also getting some stutter which I did not before , if this is the state of things to come I will go green team tbh . that much of a drop in fps is beyond a joke tbh

I just tried the 13, 5 b2s on my main rigs 58## crossfire and for the first time in this fx config and a while in driver versions I can clock them to 1ghz stablely again.
All things run smoother so far ( benches for eg a nice 8994 at 1ghz 1175 mem (3dmark11)) , I installed the betas cap prophile is it worth putting on any other as amds download page says don't ,just use the betas, i wanna double check all this as I have lost fps on some scale/tasks (dxpath? Ie 11 v 9) but less glitches and errors and smoother ( I hadn't seen the glitches til now) fps?? Mean im getting the max fps still averaged possibly higher

I ran some tests on my own measuring frame latency and I'm running a HD6870. With the older 12.10 drivers, which I'd been using for ages, things were a little better. 13-4 makes some things worse, but I was able to push up details without any performance drops in some games like DiRT3.

I think 12.10 is where if effectively ends for VLIW5/4 single-card configs. I do know one person with Crossfired HD6870s (2GB versions, mind you, I'm on 1GB) and he says everything seems to be a little better on his end.

Ive used every driver Released pretty much and benched with them all 13.5 beta 2 are pretty much as fast as 12.10 with some slight drops yet ARe miles smoother on my old xfire set and the second positive is far far less gfx glitches in 3dmark and 3dmark 11 for eg ,and the few games ive tried ,amd are doing something thats beneficial to vliw 4/5.
