bf4central.com - DICE confirms: Battlefield 4 will be at E3 2013

DICE will be showing off Battlefield 4 at E3 2013 in June, the company confirmed today.

APRIL 19TH, 2013 IN NEWS

This doesn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone: DICE and EA will be at E3 2013 to showcase Battlefield 4. E3 takes place in the beginning of June, and is the largest and most prominent game convention in the world. DICE revealed the first multiplayer details of BF3 at E3 2011, and revealed some BF3 DLC at E3 2012. DICE confirmed the E3 appearance via Twitter saying that they will have more details to share later.
It’s also expected that the main competitor to Battlefield 4 this Fall — Modern Warfare 4 — will be revealed at E3 as well. Just like in 2011, it looks like the two heavyweight franchises from EA and Activision will go head to head.
We already know a bunch of stuff about Battlefield 4, especially its singleplayer part. Hopefully DICE will put more focus on multiplayer at E3. However, with BF3, we first saw the big multiplayer reveal after E3 2011: DICE unveiled the first BF3 multiplayer details at GamesCom in August 2011, including the first trailer. Hopefully we won’t have to wait until August this time.

So what's with everyone playing Close Quarters again lately? I guess you're tired of real Battlefield gameplay after a year and a half?

Also, we all seemed to really like and enjoy Aftermath when it dropped but that didn't last long for some reason...

Not really a serious question...though I have noticed more CQ lately. Then again I also see you guys playing TDM occasionally which I also don't find very fun, myself. Hey to each their own. Some people only play Metro. Still better than any COD or MOH.

Yeah I just got Crysis 3 today for 22.50 and hoping the MP is OK. The SP graphics are crazy. One thing about Crytek,
they know how to make a game look good. Haven't played but 5 minutes of it, but man o man. I hear they are
going to do a sequel to Homefront. That game needs some help so maybe they can make a better one then the 1st.

I like to play TDM since I tend to own other players on there. It also boosts my KD and KPM. I mainly use TDM to Service Star Weapons.

Yeah...I don't know. Something about it just being straight deathmatch doesn't appeal to me in a Battlefield game. Though if you find you usually do well that's certainly something.

One thing I'd like to see in BF4, that I'm sure will never happen, would be a return to six man squads and server sizes up to 108.

Totally agree about the squad sizes but not so sure about more than 64 players based on how crazy BF3 could be with that many. I guess depends on average map size. Certainly something I'd like to at least try out...

Yeah larger squads for sure. It is annoying as hell when all your Homies are in one squad and you can't get on :laugh:

I say10 man squads :laugh:

Once BF4 is released I'll probably jump back on TS again.
By then I should be able to bump my K/D ratio to say .5 :eek:

Funny I looked at my BF2 and BFBC2 stats recently and I just hover right at about the same regardless of the game.
Now COD I can run about 1.0, but that type of game play gets boring even if you are getting more kills. Just like TDM on BF3. Good way to rank up, but after a couple rounds it gets old.

I know I'm fairly late to the thread with a lot of things, but I like a lot of the animations in BF3 sans the knifing one. It's pretty cool when your character vaults over something to escape or to move toward an objective. I'm concerned about releasing the game on so many different platforms though. PC, PS3, 360, PS4, Nextbox. This makes me think it'll be more of a sidegrade to BF3 than any move forward. BF3 with included missing features from previous titles so to speak.

I didn't play much of BF3, not nearly as much as I wanted to, but I plan on playing the ever living f**k out of BF4.

I've been playing on the Xbox with some homies (I know, burn the heretic), but I'll be making the leap back to the PC with the next game. I just hope it's not crap.

I also prefer the destruction in BF3 over BC2 because I like some cover to remain.

BF4 should also have an in game server browser. The one in the console version is fantastic.

Still tons of people playing it. The only game that has this kind of longevity was and still is COD 4. You can still find tons of servers full on COD4. I probably play a round once a week of it and one every night or so of BF3. Actually played 3 last night. Conquest Domination on Close Quarters maps. Everybody runs shotties. I like shot gun fire fights though. One more shot gun ribbon I have my second shotgun service medal. Hated them at first until the Mass got to be every ones play toy and I got into them then. I remember Brandon Blowing helicopter out of the sky all night with the frag rounds on Caspian Border. Every time he'd do it he'd let a huge drunken scream :laugh:

Yeah I still play BF3 almost every day, though only a round or two generally. Frankly, I wish I were more sick of it already cause I have other games/stuff to do.
