The short answer is no.

This is where AMD has a small oversight. When they divided up their product line into the FX Series and A Series they predetermined what people would use them for. As a result A Series (taking the budget, portable, and entry level market) got all the miniITX and MicroATX boards. FX got almost all of the full ATX boards.

If you are not willing to use an A-5800K or the upcoming A-6800K, then you will need to use one of the older AMD 880G boards. THere are still some that are sold that support both AM3+ and are mATX. They are not of the best quality, but they are not very expensive either.

i wouldnt go for mATX. they are cheap, bad quality, lack of features.

im sure you will find a better atx spec case.

Plenty of good matx boards out there, Asus rampage gene comes to mind. As for AMD flavoured ones, I must admit you are quite out of luck.

If you want to go small Intel is your current friend I am afraid

i was talking about AMD since the OP wanted AMD.

one good AMD board i remember from prev gen is the MSI 890 G-65.

micro ATX with crossfire.
but like most MSIs it had the problem of VRM catching fire.

The Biostar A880GZ mATX board supports FX (Bulldozer and Vishera) and I currently run an FX-6200 in one of mine w/o issues for crunching.

- Does it work? Yes
- Are there compromises? Yes
- Do I completely trust it? No
- Would I buy another? Maybe (for a cruncher or HTPC rig I would but not for a main rig)

I would go with an FM2 board or an Intel setup if you want to stick to mATX

Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3. 4+1 phase with heatsink and front usb3.0 ports. Biggest flaw is the lack of SATA3 ports, and with pci-e x1 slot placed right under x16 one, it'll be near-impossible to add a SATA3 expansion card if you use a dual-slot VGA. I would wait for rev 5.0 to come, thou, looks sexy:
