One of the EVGA reps says it's coming soon, likely the same day.

Thank you, mind linking where he's adding info? EVGA forums?

Givin the specs kinda seems like 780 will have like maybe ~30-35% boost over 680, large due to memory interface being upped to 384bit.

Earlier a Guru3d screenie got leaked which had figures performance for Metro LL.

Titan 48FPS
GTX780 44 FPS
7970GHZ 34 FPS

I'd say that's pretty damn good.

@2650x 30% is Titan territory now. Figure 15-20%

um, if you look at specs comparison between the 2 cards, 780 is clocked same, only difference its 300 or so less cuda cores so 780 should only be a 5-10% tops slower. more likely 5%.

2304 CUDA cores vs 2688
224 TMU's vs 192

really atm what is limiting most nvidia gpu's atm is memory bandwidth not.

Nvidia is focused on its proprietary compute language, which is CUDA, no wonder they did leave OpenCL so behind.

Opencl was for most part unused, cept for like bitcoin. It was kinda like Opengl.

Um, spec's are not confirmed but going off what you said Cuda/TMU are reduced 15% and reference clock is one thing, but where it tops out under boost is where it matters the most.. But, okay Nvidia is giving 5% less than a Titan.... For what price $950 (5% less) as that's only fair to those would ante-up for a Titan 2 months ago, now wouldn't it!

20 to 25% faster than 680. Titan is still a little too far to catch though, no matter. Custom cards look great and some are already overclocking well enough to close the gap a little.
Neat cards these, but the true gem is GTX 770. Low power draw and some mighty impressive memory clocking in the tune of 8GHz  Fun times ahead:toast:

No suprises, looks good and given they have had reasonable quantities of titan I think nvidia should have sufficient supply.
Hope the price isn't as epic as its spec.

Should be a decent card, hopefully reasonably affordable until AMD bring some real competition early next year.

the 'reasonably affordable' part because Nvidia has already stated that it will cost more than $500

haha NVidia will charge a fortune for this. They have to, because they already charged a fortune for titan. But then again its Nvidia, maybe they will just laugh at people who paid $1000 for titan around the world.

Lets just ponder what NVidia has done here. They released titan for an exhorbitant price while planning to release basically the same card as a mainstream card a few weeks later.

Personally I think it sucks, how they kept quiet about the 780, even hinting that titan would be it until the end of the year because AMD are sticking with the 7970 Ghz edition. They would have had both cards being manufactured at the same time. It just shows a total disrespect for customers imo.

I have a NVidia 680 at the moment so Im not a AMD fanboy but NVidia as a company stinks, they pull this stuff time and time again.

It's time and for me to change graphic card, 5870 go in retirement.
I will look for 780 non-reference but I NVIDIA can drop price little.
It's not fair anymore, PC games are not optimized good and their cards are more and more expensive.
People cross on consoles because optimization of PC games and price of hardware for free gaming.
They would earn more on Titan with 700$ price than 1000.

NVIDIA is real jerks, GTX480(400$)GTX580(500$),GTX680(600$),GTX780(700$),tITAN(1000$) GO TO HELL NVIDIA.

Well the 7970 costs more than $500 when it launch too, besides it already seems what I consider to be reasonably affordable is different from you. :D

And with Titan selling just fine they really have no need to give these things away either.

I've got two problems with nVidia:

1.) Prices keep going up. Unlike in the GTX 295 days, where the newest card was 500-600$ and the older card went down to 250-300$.. these days the older card remains at 500-600$ and the newer card goes up to 1,000$. WTF:wtf:

2.) The name. Seriously? Titan? Why? Every other card they've ever created has been numbered and now all of a sudden.. Titan? This goes hand-in-hand with my first point to say that nVidia is seriously high on their own farts right now.

I don't know price of 600$ and 650$ for non-reference models is more than enough for NVIDIA.
But why they do this, I don't know.
It's not good today in this economic situation they give price over 700$ for non-reference single GPU card. That is abnormal behavior, no excuse for that.

As much as I would've liked Titan to be 300-400 usd/eur cheaper I can honestly say that card is still a bargain, yes a bargain.

Why? It is essentially an uncrippled CUDA card that otherwise would've costed 3k.

I can probably bet that the biggest part of the Titan volume sold by nvidia has been bought for compute.

I don't think that Titan customers will feel scammed even after a GTX 780 release. I surely won't. Why?

Titan and the GTX 780 are essentially in a different position, while they may seem very similar they are hugely different.

6 GB VRAM really helps you to set up a high poly scene while rendering, I often go in excess of 4-5 GB when working with complex scenes.

I also happen to play games at a higher resolution than most people and I often see more than 3GB used and the additional horsepower Titan provides, even if 10-15%, is more than welcomed.

If nvidia released the GTX 780 and the Titan the same day I would still have bought Titan and I bet I'm not the only one.

I'm seeing the same way...
http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2897972#post2897972

And noooo-one (of use) knows how strong or many Titans have sold at the point. If Nvidia offered-up 10% in Titian units, that they’ve sold of GTX680’s, I'd be surprised.

So it's speculation to say it's a truly "viable" profit product for Nvidia, and may well been entered into the market for its marketing "justification" of the bins of geldings they absolutely need to divest of. If move (780's) at say something of just 20% of what has been GTX680 units sales, while getting 45-50% more for them... mission accomplished.

I'm not one of those hunt the interwebz for you kinda Speculators , do your own hunting , semiacurate seams to have a cob on with nvidia for a start but I read so much tech news from so wide a range of site's id struggle to find some of it again as ive been watching for years as have many and if a few others haveing contacts are saying exactly what im deduceing then its the gk110 version of the g92 era.

But for clarity these be my opinion! Mostly:).
