Hey guys as the title says, it all started when my friend gave me windows 2003 to try out. Basically I figured it was a trojan when it refused to boot. I had to spam up and down keys for the boot manager to work. Apparently this gay tool OSL2000 hid two of my partitions...

Not bump your post within 15 minutes mate, wait a day. We are not some helpdesk where you can demand instant service. Show some patience.

As for removing it, what trojan is it? Use a viruskiller from a CD or something.

Boot.ini is your friend.

.............

Sorry if I was impatient.. but right now OSL2000 decided to disable two of my partitions for no reason...and my assignment was on it.

Okay apart from that, wtf? Boot.ini?

Download and remove. Simple :)

Yeah i know its for Vista, but you still should be able to get rid of another OS :) (When i had XP and Vista, i booted up in XP and got rid of Vista)

...weird.,.. it doesnt even detect my partitions. I need a tool that can re enable "hidden partitions" first.

EDIT: Not something in DOS, like acronis but free.

Check the root, there should be a hidden systemfile named boot.ini. It contains a line for every option in the boot menu. Obviously you should just leave the line for XP. Or at least set it as default.

Really man, stop the bumping. If people have advice they will tell you. Bumping just makes you very annoying.

come on TK, with 1500 posts you should know the rules...

THrow the drives in another PC, backup the data then format them anew - if you have a legit XP code, you can always copy someone elses CD and use it.
(hey, its legal to have a BACKUP)
