US gamers will be the first to get their hands on ROCCAT's highly acclaimed mechanical gaming keyboard series. In terms of build quality, design and innovation, the German leading manufacturer of professional gaming peripherals sets a new standard with the release of the Ryos series. Three varying models offer popular features like Easy-Shift[+], ROCCAT Talk, innovative per-key illumination and high quality Cherry MX key switches, therefore providing the perfect fit for any kind of gamer.

"PC gamers all over the world have been wishing for ROCCAT to come up with a mechanical keyboard - and finally here it is" says René Korte, ROCCAT founder and CEO. "Congratulations to everyone who has been waiting patiently, you are now able to get the most advanced mechanical keyboard on the market".

The first keyboard in the series is the Ryos MK. The Ryos MK is equipped with the popular black Cherry MX key switches and is aimed at PC gaming purists. Its 32-bit ARM Cortex processor makes it incredibly powerful and responsive. The 2 MB of flash memory allows for over 500 macros to be recorded and stored on board. Three thumbster keys as well as renowned ROCCAT innovations like Easy-Shift[+] and ROCCAT Talk complete a keyboard perfect for hardcore gamers.

Next in line is the Ryos MK Glow, which features the same technical specifications as the MK while adding full backlighting in the color blue - with a powerful LED underneath each and every key. The illumination level is fully adjustable in the rich driver software that comes with every ROCCAT product. Also equipped with black Cherry MX key switches, the MK Glow is built for gamers who care about both the utmost precision as well as the visual effects of their gaming set-up.

The flagship model of the series is the Ryos MK Pro. It features an additional ARM Cortex processor which is responsible solely for handling the keyboard's configurable per-key illumination, an impressive and innovative feature that sets it apart from any other mechanical keyboard on the market. "Imagine launching Battlefield 4 and having the keyboard automatically light up all your relevant key bindings - this is what the Ryos MK Pro is able to do for you", says René Korte. "Configure tons of options in the driver software or code your own jaw-dropping illumination features with the SDK we provide - only your imagination is the limit". The Ryos MK Pro is also available in four different Cherry MX key switch colors: black, brown, blue and red. This almost makes the integrated USB 2.0 hub and pass-through audio jacks a side note.

The MK and MK Glow version of the Ryos are now available at US retailers and online stores such as Amazon and Newegg.

Pricing and availability
  • ROCCAT Ryos MK - 99,99 USD, in stores now
  • ROCCAT Ryos MK Glow - 139,99 USD, in stores now
  • ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro - 169,99 USD, in stores mid November

That's the MK Pro which is what i am waiting for still and i see they pushed it back yet another month..

Tell ya what if you do not require programmable keys do ya self a favor and buy a Corsair.

And those pics are not US style keyboard ?.. Isn't that German once again lol ?

And i don't believe the none Pro have USB\headphone\mic socket either. And it's a shame that Roccat did not add thumb keys for leftys too ;).

Awesome Can't wait! I have been waiting for this keyboard for ages...

I have never had a mechanical keyboard any suggestions on what type to get?
I currently have a Saitek Eclipse II, and I like the sounds and feel.

I am using blues which i do like, but after getting a replacment of my blackwidow of Razer 4 months after got the same issue's a again although i would not blame the cherry keys for it.

Thinking of going for the browns this time around and hopefully the keyboard will last more than 6 months a time.

Yeaah i need that key above the enter it's my night vision key hehehe.

Well after a week now i thought i would let ya know that still enjoying using the keyboard in fact more than i was a week ago, and if there is any thing i do not like about it is that it seems that the keys point up upwards than i am used to ( BlackWidow ).

Would i replace it ?, no for sure it's been really nice to use with 0 software issue's or any other except what i said above. The per key lighting is nice touch too for your profiles which change going in game or minimizing your game which can be a little distracting at 1st but after a while you get used to it and know what keys are going do what which is really nice for me being left handed.

Would be sweet to have the easy shift and the thumbster keys for left handed which be the only reason i would change this keyboard at this time. If you played OFP\Arma you understand this as there is so many keys available and having that easy shift would be awesome as it gives another layer of keys..

In fact this last week i been doing more editing in Arma 3 than i have in the last year or more.

One other thing i did not like about the blackwidow was they key lighting was for the main letters\symbols and were very dull to say the least.
